I just moved into the neighborhood and I really like this coffee bar. It is always bubbling with people. I like the atmosphere, decor, and drinks. I think it's well worth the trip to Manor Rd.

Picnic tables on the patio! If you know me, you know I love to sit outside. You know that a well-crafted picnic table is one of the many keys to my heart. So when Clementine upgraded to wood tables, my heart fluttered.Beer, good. Panini, good. With salad? Ok.The inside scene is just that, a scene, like Flightpath or Epoch, all laptops and cute haircuts. But outside? Outside's for enjoying why we live in Austin.

Oh my goodness. I went here the other day and, can I say, I am in love with their peanut butter cups. Seriously. I would go back in an instant just for the peanut butter.Everything else was pretty up to par with other coffee shops in the area... my coffee and hummus (garlicky!) were pretty darn good, and while the furniture did look a bit run down, at least it wasn't sterile feeling. And really, can I blame dreary old Ikea furniture when it is the same furniture I have at home? No, not really. But really, try the peanut butter cups. Mmmm.

Every time I drove past Clementine I vowed to check it out but kept procrastinating - until a few weeks ago. The staff is nice, the coffee great and the atmosphere chill. It would have been a great place to hang with homework or a book.I had the honey almond latte. It was delish and chock full of honey. My boyfriend had one of the frappes and said it could have been blended better, which is why I didn't give this place 5 stars. The food was very tempting and they have vegan treats as well. I'll have to come back for that and post an update. No more procrastinating!

The year round pumpkin muffin alone is enough to garner them five. I love pumpkin-whatever ( especially baked goods) and I hate having to wait till October to get any of that goodness. Otherwise, this place is pretty standard as far as a coffee shop goes. Decent decor with art that changes periodically, couches, tables, and the odd knick-knack here and there. The outside patio is really slammin' on a nice day with a good book, coffee, and aforementioned pumpkin muffin.

Alright, have to update this.. Still coming a lot and the coffee is still good. But the food situation I'm getting irritated about... I've ordered a few different things over the past couple of weeks and multiple people's attitude behind the bar seems to be that they don't feel like putting together food... My oatmeal has been gloppy and horrible every time out of the last 5 that I've ordered it (that's impressive HTH do you screw up instant oats?) and you can't change a thing about their breakfast sandwiches.. unless you're itching to start your day in disappointment. I recommend that they at least have a group lesson on making oatmeal -- please? They still get 3 stars because they're coffee is good, and I look forward to it every time I pass by. I really love it at Clementine. I had to warm up to the wait staff (who seems pretentious until you…

It's my 100th review. So I've decided to choose the place that I have been more often than not on a daily basis over the past year - which is Clementine. The interior can best be described as IKEA puked over the whole place. IKEA ain't bad, but it's not commercial grade furniture and after three years of business, it looks, tired, worn and dirty. This might match the floors and walls, which look tired, worn and dirty. They have spent money recently on installing new taps and some picnic tables outside (which quickly became covered quickly in graffiti - who could have predicted that?) But the furniture still sits there looking rather sad.The staff is fine and generally turns out drinks faster than other coffee shops in town. Go there often enough and they will begin making your drink before you order it.I hear bitching about the wireless router...if you go to a cafe just to use the internet, stay home and use the internet at your own house. It's a free service and not a right. And if you look at all the slackers around you that are also using the internet (including the guy downloading The Watchmen) you might realize that there is only so much bandwith. Spend less money going out and paying for coffee and buy you own damn router and internet service.I haven't really ordered the food. The baked goods come (mostly) from Quacks which I'm not a fan of, but the paninis look pretty good.

I love Clementine. The coffee is solid. They have a small menu of salads and paninis, which I recommend. They are pre-made but by no means unappetizing. I will probably come here for lunch more often than I should. I think the food and coffee are a touch over-priced, but at a place like Clementine you pay for other perks.Firstly, the atmosphere is great. The decor, the lighting, the location, the music, the outdoor patio. It's just the kind of place you'd like to spend a lazy Sunday at, surfing the internet on their free wifi.Secondly, they have events pretty regularly. Movie screenings, competitions, free DJs, interesting and relevant guest speakers. I have gone a couple of times with intent to Facebook, only to walk into something far cooler. I like that about Clementine. And finally, they brew Cuvee coffee. If you like to support local business, I think Clementine and other coffee shops that buy from local roasters are a totally effortless way to do that. The one criticism I have is the shitty parking situation. There is pretty much only a street to park on, and it gets packed kind of quickly. The tables fill up a bit, but I've never had to wait more than a minute or so to find a seat indoors. The patio, I'm sure, is much easier. In short, A+ GREAT TIME WILL GO AGAIN.2.5 stars, but I'm giving 2 since I'm ticked about this. Since becoming "Thunderbird," the coffee has suffered a serious decline in quality, at least the espresso. This PAINS me because Clementine formerly had some of the best lattes in town. Not anymore. Meh. I think I'll drive the extra mile or whatever to JP's. Admittedly I've only ordered one coffee drink here--a plain old latte--but I've learned that I can… Clementine--turned--Thunderbird Coffee was my first coffeeshop in Austin when I moved. As my "first", I remember really liking the place; the space was great, lots of sunshine, and the coffee was good (but this is all now in hindsight...my graduate-advisor and I had met for the first time, and all I could think was OMG she bought me a croissant, do I have to pay her back?) ANYWAY, I've gotten to know Clem's better, and it has lost its sheen. The IKEA furniture needs some serious TLC, and the seating can be a bit uncomfortable on the right-hand side where the benches were installed. I've liked their coffee, but I had an iced mocha the other day, and it was pretty unpalatable, but I'm not sure why. I just know they've given me better. The outdoor seating is definitely a great addition, so kudos. Overall, it's a nice spot, not superb, but not too shabby either. Oh, and I hate the new name. Sorry. I loved saying "Celmentine's". Everytime I see "Thunderbird" I have the urge to make some guttural noise and chest bump.I totally dig this place. My book club met here recently and it was a very pleasant experience. There was plenty of outdoor seating to accommodate our party of six or seven. I wasn't able to try the coffee since it was so late in the evening, but I did have a delicious beer on tap. My Waldorf salad was okay. I think I ruined it by putting too much dressing on it, so I didn't eat it all. I ended up being hungry afterward and going to eat again.I'm looking forward to going back and getting a good coffee drink.

Central location, friendly folks, cool A/C, attentive counter staff. I'm trying to come up with something *wrong* and I'm at a loss.

I like this place. My first experience here was a wonderful beer tasting with brewers from all the local breweries, and food from several local places for snacks. After discovering their wonderful on-tap beer selection AND their sole use of French Press coffee, I was determined to return. Well, now that I have, I must say that the people, atmosphere and drinks are wonderful. I have seen music here that sets the mood on the inside (and makes it a little too loud to have a conversation), but if that is not your cup of tea (hehe) you can move to one of the large wooden tables they have outside. The only downside is that on hot days it is tough to get a table or a spot on the inside, as they only have a few large tables, a couch, and some chairs. There is seating at the bar too, directly in front of the beer taps. I would fear non-stop imbibing sitting here. They have some snacks (Rockstar bagels, anyone?), but come here for the drinks and atmosphere, not the food.
