The Hookah House in Boulder, from what I've experienced, is about as good as it gets. I started going here with my two buddies back in November of 2008 and I've been a regular of the place since. I go about 2 to 3 times a week. I've introduced many of my friends to the place, and now they love going as well. All the staff know us by name (we're practically celebrities) and we like going here cause it's a place we can venture to. It's a fun, friendly atmosphere, and it's just something to do. The smoking relaxes you and it brings out plenty of good conversation. Most of the people who gather in the hookah house are within the 18-22+ range; Mostly college goers at CU Boulder. They're all very friendly; you can strike up a conversation with just about anyone you'd like. The Hookah House also offers free Wi-Fi for laptop and iPhone users. I particularly like this amenity being an iPhone user myself. Although, I wouldn't suggest people to bring their laptops for doing homework and other tasks. They usually play loud music and there's tons of chatter that goes on which can make it somewhat distracting. And a laptop will also distract you from socializing with your friends (if you went with any). The Wi-Fi is password protected, so just ask anyone of the staff and they will give you the SSID and WEP for the network. They offer a spectrum of flavors, including some you wouldn't expect. You can mix any flavors you'd like or even just tell them to make you something good. They also sell many options of tobacco as well. The way pricing works with the hookah house is it's generally cheaper to bring more people. One Person - One Pipe: About $7 + taxTwo People - One Pipe: About $6 + taxThree People - One Pipe: About $5 + taxFour people - One Pipe: About $4 + tax. But that's the cut-off for one pipe. The conditions of the hookah house are that you are required to get another pipe for every 4 people. 4 people - 1 pipe5-8 people - 2 pipes9-12 people - 3 pipesetc. (I've never seen someone bring a crowd larger than about 8 people.) And the same pricing rules apply per person, per pipe. A visit at the hookah house on average is around the $5-$7 range. And they don't charge you anymore unless you get food or drinks. They offer a refrigerated assortment from the classic, glass-botlled Coca-Cola, red bull, and they even make espresso (Cups of ice water are, of course, free). You may also order food (Bob, the hookah house owner, also owns the restaurant right underneath that serves the food), and it can be delivered to your table. But be advised that you will be adding more to your bill if you do this. However, they are still a great value. Overall, the hookah house is an attractive option for the young crowd cause it's pretty cheap (cheaper than a night at the movies), it's a fun atmosphere, and a nice place to just relax and have a good conversation with your friends. If you've always wanted to try hookah and are just waiting for that 18th birthday to come around, the hookah house would be a great first hookah experience for anyone. The whole place will even sing happy birthday for you! Or If you've ever smoked Hookah, and haven't been here, you definitely should try it. And you can tell them I sent ya! ;)

The Hookah House is a smoke and college student filled lounge on the Hill. Its a cool atmosphere and a nice idea, I would just rather not spend that much money for my admission into this place. Maybe if it were 3 of 4 dollars to sit around a sticky table and watch the other college kids suck down some smoke while writing their papers, I would be more into it. The menu comes with snacks, drinks, and shesha flavors, which is a cool idea. Their selection of flavors is actually really vast, they have stuff I'd never think of making into a shesha flavor. The artwork in here is actually very very cool, my favorite is the painting of a greek god sitting behind some mountains smoking a hookah. The staff is friendly and funny, and they're very good about catering to your table. Overall a cool place, just a bit too expensive for what they have to offer.

It's a great place for people 18+. The crowd is mostly late teens, early 20's. People are really easy to talk to, and anyone with an outgoing personality will meet tons of cool people. The staff is amazing; I know every person who works there personally, and they all make me laugh constantly. The owner, Bob, will make you smile no matter what and is very dedicated to the business. If you're planning on going on Friday or Saturday nights, make sure to get there between 9 and 10. After then, seats fill up fast and it will take a while to sit down. Weeknights are really relaxing; normally the regulars are all there and they're all the most interesting people you'll ever meet :]
