The worst times to go are Friday and Saturday nights. After you're over the age of 21, it's a slap in the face to get carded for being old enough to smoke tobacco. That should be an indicator of the crowd you're about to join. You might as well mingle with the cop standing around making sure the tobacco laws haven't been violated. The music during these times is horrifically annoying. Hookah was (and still is) meant to be smoked as a social and conversational activity. You can't do that when you're screaming across the table to say something.Very good food, highly recommended during a peaceful time in the work week. If you order Turkish coffee, have your fortune read. That was pretty cool the time I asked for it. This is out-of-the way for Denverites living closer to downtown, since it's near DU's campus off of  University ...another reason not to go when the kids you're hanging out with are jamming to teenie-bopper icons. If and when you do go, there is a small parking lot behind the hookah bar/restaurant. Make a right on Evans and make another immediate right into the small alley-way that will lead you there.

The decor is cheery and colorful at this super casual hangout near the University of Denver that attracts both an academic lunch crowd and a hookah-smoking late-night posse of collegiates.  The impressive Mid East feast menu, which reveals a lengthy list of traditional favorites, along with a few twists, does justice to the assertive flavors that make Middle Eastern food so memorable. Don't miss the ultra-smooth, heavenly hummus, the earthy baba ganoush, or the chicken shwarma. There's no liquor license, but the incredibly strong coffee will stick to your ribs.

The food is consistently tasty and the portions are good. The service isn't the greatest though and the place has been freezing every time I have been there but I keep going back because the food is so good and affordable. Try the Garlic dip!
