Best Smoke in the Valley but Bad Service by mrhookah
That's right! Mr.Hookah is giving this place the Best Smoke in the valley! The coals here are just exceptional. They use the nice rectangle, flat squares that give that nice smooth smoke you'd appreciate in your hookah. I hate smoking coals. We got some coffee to complement our smokes.
We came here on a sunday night. I should probably stop getting surprised by the nightly crowd that hookah places gets. When it hit around 11 PM, there was a full crowd. They have multiple areas. The first floor is the main one with tables to eat and smoke. We got the rad second floor where you can see the street and the view of the whole place. There's a back room that's for private parties and it's enclosed indoors. If you go up even higher, there's another private party area. The place is encased in some plastic but the whole thing is outdoors. It's pretty rad to be able to smoke outdoors with the heat lamps even when it's raining.
However, from the looks of the other reviews, we had much worse service. We got a sweet couch spot in the corner near the LCD tv. There was a few big groups near us that ordered a whole bunch of stuff like wines and food. Therefore, we did not get much service. I think they changed our coals only one time. BAD SERVICE!
Anyways, I'll try this place again and let you know the updates.

I can't speak for the food. But I went to a lot of hookah bars in Dallas, and I can tell you these guys are much better than the places back home. They will constantly come by with coals. We had our coals changed maybe five times in two hours. That's five times more than some other places.15 bucks for a hookah is a little high, but when they maintain them like they do, it can stretch a while. I'll go back.

The service is great! I really like the food...they have amazing dishes cause of their great chef...Make sure you sample their assorted high end flavors of hookah tobacco. It combines a very great middle-eastern/Mediterranean dining experience with the hookah smoking. Make sure to reserve your visit on friday/sat nights because it can get quite booked.

Hey guess what ? No one can review you b/c you are NEVER open !Ya uh I was excited about this place and now I have lost my wood.Do ya want customers? Don't seem like it !**BTW the five star ratings are obviously from friends and family of the restaurant owner. Give me a break.

The Kaffe is the shit.Their hookah is bomb and you can smoke it out of an array of fruits, but don't get the Pineapple - sure it sounds cool, but in reality it's hard to get any suction bc of it's size. I suggest an orange or apple if your going that route. The food is very good too. They have healthy stuff, and not-so-healthy (but awesome) stuff, ie cheese fries! It's a major Persian hangout, not that that's a bad thing, just an observation. They play sports on a projection screen and two flat screens, decent music, and the service isn't bad. It's not great, but this is LA, the service is slim at best. I suggest checking out the Rouge if you like hookah bars. My friend and I go out of our way for this place, much better than the local Habbibi's.

Last time I was here, it was called the Bird Cage. I came again with my ex-wife for my birthday and was surprised to see it was not the Bird Cage anymore. However, since we were already there, I figured let's give it a shot. Thank god I did.First, dinner. My steak was one of the best steaks I have ever had. It was perfectly cooked and seasoned. It was also gigantic. When I'm in the Hollywood area, I expect expensive, small portions. This was a generous helping of steak and potatoes, well beyond my expectations. We also shared a stuffed tiger shrimp appetizer that was amazing. Dessert was so good, we tried two: the brownie and the mixed berry pastries. Both were outstanding.Next was hookahs. My waiter recommended the "ATM" (Apple, Tangerine, Mango) blend, which was great. They also let me get a refill of a different blend (Merlot) at the refill price (a rare treat in the hookah community). It, too, was fresh and wonderful. They had a nice selection of hot teas, including Moroccan mint, which I ordered. They were generous with the hot water, giving me a large teapot instead of just a cup. And, they refilled the teapot at no extra charge. The waiter and the manager (I assume he was in charge) were both nice guys, eager to please and friendly. The atmosphere was as good as the Bird Cage used to be. If you haven't been here, take the drive and check it out, it's a beautiful venue. There are multiple rooms at different elevations, creating a unique effect. The standard Middle Eastern electrolounge was playing, not too loud, perfectly suited for the chillaxed atmosphere.I live in Orange County, so driving to Ventura Blvd is a trip. But, Kaffe Rouge is worth the drive and I'll be back for sure.

My experience at this place so far has been great, the hookahs are good size hookahs, they last long and they have very good flavors! The service is also good, friendly and flirty staff. On monday night and wednesday night you can get a hookah for only $10 which is great. You don't have to be 21 to get in but they do serve alcohol. It is a good place to just go with few friends and relax while you are downing some beers and smoking some hookah. They do play music there as well but it is mostly trance and techno (that could be a draw back whether you enjoy that kind of music or not)! Happy Earth day Everybody!!!!

Now that I have tried this place for the second time, i like it even more because I tried the food! They have two chefs on staff( met one, nice guy) and 2-3 other people in the kitchen. The selection is great, the flavors are nice and seriously for a hookah place, the food was good. Dont come expecting fine dining or like some other yelpers...you dont come here for a romantic date. Its a hookah lounge to hang out with friends!!! Someone also said the food is like it came from a microwave??? What are you talking about? That would be over at McDonalds. Their seafood pasta is great, Greek salad is HUGE and their Smores dessert was YUMMY!!!!!! Homemade caramel. You can just taste it. One note though- there was only one waitress for the entire bottom section. They need to hire more wait staff so the service can pick up a bit. With its friendly atmosphere this place was packed on a Friday night. Make a reservation Friday and Saturdays, its a new place so its popular. I will definately be going back. So far so good. Went with seven ladies tonight and had a good experience. We were kindly greeted and…

Ehhhh it was an ok place...the food is great but i didn't like the setting too much, and the service kind of sucked...maybe I was there when it was dead but i thought it was too overrated!
