Great Hookah, LCDs, Beer, and Delicious Food! by mrhookah
I have come here on multiple occasions since it's relatively close to where I live.
The first time I went here we got a spot inside (early 2009). It was on a thursday night. The seating was at half capacity when we arrived. You can actually get normal water here instead of shelving a few bucks for a bottled water. It's nice to be able to drink a crisp ice water. The charcoal service is great. They came to us more than enough times to replace the coals. I think the coal guy had a lot of time on his hand but it's good for us. It's always nice to smoke with clean charcoal. The service was really good. The couch seats were kind of tough on you. You would sit on one pillow but it felt like there was pure cement underneath you. With that account we've been sitting outside most of the time. Halfway through our hookah session the crowd was pretty much at full capacity. There were multiple big groups and the inside section was full. Good smokes, good charcoal, excellent service.
Second time I came in the summer time 2009, I actually tried out the food. I had a beef kabob plate that included salad and lots of rice. It was a nice big meal with big chunks of beef and definitely kept you full. They also got their liquor license. Good for them! I enjoyed a nice beer with my food and smokes. We sat outside. They installed some nice big LCD televisions so we were able to keep up-to-date with our sports as they kept ESPN and Fox Sports West running. I guess you could consider this place kind of like a sports bar.
Third time I came in the winter 2009. We came around 10pm. There was not that big of a crowd although I wasn't surprised. It was plenty cold and I forgot why we were sitting outside. They do have a fireplace but it was still pretty cold. Luckily the waitress turned on the heat lamp so it was plenty warm. The crowd slowly moved in as the night progressed. Eventually, there were groups of people drinking Coronas and it was a pretty full crowd again. People in Glendale like to smoke. Since my older reviews the charcoal service has become a bit more laid back. The service is still good though.

I wouldve given it 5 stars but SERVICE is HORRIBLE!!!! the guys walking around constantly asking if wd more charcoal were great but the waitresses seemed to not know jack shit. i also wish they had a wider beer selection. but the hookah is great! great music, AMAZING food and great atmosphere. i like coming here except i wish there were friendlier servers

so came here for a friend's birthday party. ummmm..its OKAY. really loud, live dj, ok ambience inside. i should've sat outside. couldnt breathe inside with all that hookah smoke. but other than that, i think service was good and fast. dont know about the food because we didnt order any food. i guess this place is ok to try once

This is an OK hookah lounge. They have a good hookah selection and a good menu. They have a $7 minimum charge per person which I don't like. So if you want to bring a friend that plans to just hang out for conversation, be prepared. They will charge every single person at your table a minimum of $7.The music is ridiculously loud here, and the music is not always that great. They have an inside sitting area with a DJ. All the doors are open to the inside, so the music is blasted out the door to the outside sitting area. Quiet conversations are not gonna happen. The outside is nicer than the inside. They recently built a giant wooden canopy over the outside area. There are also heat lamps outside for when it's cold.

If you like hookah and a live atmosphere, live dj, nice ambience, amiable service and all, this is your place. Sitting outside, you'd think the fresh air would help limit lung charring damage from all the smoke. But, you are wrong! There is so much coal smoke, hookah smoke, cigarette smoke in the air I don't recall a single breath of fresh air in 2 hours while we hung out. I think this is one area where Hookah Lounge can improve things. I feel bad for the staff who is breathing it for tens of hours/wk. That's what I call employer benefits! lolPeople order food, it looks good. Service is fast, hookah prices $12 for regular flavors, $20 for exotic, are reasonable. Drinks a bit pricey. $7 minimum/per person, and the irritating thing is they put gratuity charges of 15% on your bill, even if you're just a 3 person party like we were. Last I checked, gratuity is earned by good service, we would have given it regardless but to see it as a mandatory charge for a small party is unclassy. Good hookah quality. However, I don't enjoy sitting in coal-infested smoke for 2 hours, mix it up with some better ventilation or have your coal heating staff out-back rather than right next to the seating area.Don't wear your nice clothes here, they will reek afterwards, ladies and gents.

This was the first time i actually went to a hookah bar. Pros:1. bombass nachos (looks like im saying bombass alot these days..)2. peach hookah was great.3. could be as loud as we wanted.Cons:1. the 69 one was like "toilet cleaner" taste2. minti yogurt drink is nothing like yogurt..3. the couches were not like couches at all.4. the waitresses might be hot, but they do not know how to give great customer service.Make sure you bring a deck of cards to play a game of psoy or like egyptian or BS. SOOO fun while smoking. :)

The hookah is bad. They use a metal head which makes your sheesha tasteless and burn out within minutes and very bad quality hoses. The atmosphere is great. It's very traditonal and comfortable. The people are 18-60yrs old. The younger crowd is immature and loud but no one really directly bothers you.The service is fast and friendly. The security guard was a real sweetheart. The food looks great, we only had a cupple dips which were incredible.I love going to a place and hearing trance. The DJ played amazing trance and persian remix songs.I don't live in glendale but if im in the area i would go back to eat, not smoke.

Fair prices, good hookah, and incredibly diligent waitresses. Also, it's quite near my house, the mozzarella sticks are comforting as hell, and it's got this really chill atmosphere. If you're a people watcher, this place is for you - Glendale's demographics come out to play here, and the interaction is quite amusing... a good mix of spoiled-BMW-driving Armenian kids, white skater boys, and elder Russian gentlemen...yes!

sphinx cafe- decent but small, gypsy cafe- great but a bit crowded, gitana- very nice but not that much indoor seating.hookah lounge, nice covered tables and couch with pillows, heat lamps, and a very nice indoor lounge area as well. tv's playing the game, strange rave music that brings back old memories, and awesome nachos...and of course hookah that actually lasts a long time and stays mellow even after the fourth set of new charcoal on top. beer is 5 bucks, bathrooms inside and to the right. staff is friendly and awesome, very attentive with the charcoal which is nice. having a hookah of my own, i say this place knows how to properly make a decent bowl that lasts. other places i've been to overpack it which causes quick charring of the tobacco. really chill spot that i'd definitely come back to. for u haters, u want some cheese with that whine??? hahahah
