Hi ! Cafe Alibi is a really nice coffe house...nice area, nice building, cool and pleasant terrace on the side, I did not tested the food yet but  I am going there also because they have a Zummo juicer ! a kind of robot that make you a 16 oz pure ultra fresh orange juice without ice or water ... for just $3.50 .This place is all ready really pleasant but its also full of potentials for futur smart improvments or devellopments.Oh ! and I forgot that there is a flat screen...so on...you can bring a DVD and watch it !  a nice plus !Be confident, go there ! you will like it.

the food is very good and the people are so nice. I am in love with their orange juice machine and the iced americano. I love the americano because it tastes like smoke. I wish the drip coffee had less of the taste of burned! I think they might leave it on the hot plate. that said I got lots of work done there and it is very cozy!

This place IS the definition of what an internet cafe should be. The many outlets, the coffee, the friendly staff... I almost hesitate recommending it because it might get too popular early in the week (when I like to visit).  I have not sampled the menu, but they have most excellent coffee and you are encouraged to hang out with the sheer comfort of the leather couch.   The stars for this place come from the ambiance. The noir ambiance is dominated by low key lighting and cinema, perfect for totally chilling with your laptop and cup of something fine. The beautiful flat panel is not a distraction if you plug your ears into headphones. Added bonus is the periodic "5 alarm!" fire truck ensemble to keep your groove on ... it works for me!  I really like this place!!!    Too many perfect relaxing evenings spent here, it should be my living room!!!! Far enough from the Colorado hustle, but close enough to get to and hide away in the dim...

Drinks are decent, ambiance is chill anddd....they have a checkers/chess table!!Nothin like enjoyin a good ole cup of coffee over a game of chess :]...and now they are a hookah lounge! far better than the only other hookah joint in old town pasadena...they hire out real live hookah people who actually know how to pack a bowl! and they give decent service. that's always a plus. especially when you're anal about that sorta stuff.

Came here on a whim a few days ago thanks to a coupon that was handed out on the corner of Colorado and Fair Oaks...If you have thought about going to Cafe Alibi and decided not to because of previous reviews, please reconsider! This is about their third week under new Management and I have no huge complaints. After I tried it out for the first time, I had to come back the next day! Both nights my friends and I visited and tried their hookah.  We were provided premium tobacco but coals weren't too good (but the late night and the cold weather may have been a factor of burning out the coals too soon).  Our server, Steve, prepared our hookah and always checked up on us. *Great service and always offers help without hesitation.  A+ in hookah-tendingAlso their fresh-squeezed orange juice was definitely a plus, and after looking at the menu more, we found they also provide fresh kiwi juice! The coffee isn't quite "Peet's" status, but that's not what I was there for really. The second day we visited we decided to try their sandwiches.  Forgot the names of the two we ordered but do not regret it! Out came our other server, Rebecca, with two fat sandwiches that had a lot of veggies but did not lack substance like most other sandwich/cafe shoppes.  The patio is perfect for a good late night hookah session, however there were mostly hard tables and chairs and one (maybe two) tables with comfy sofas.  It's hard to judge the patio because both nights I went there was NO one else there besides my party.  I'm sure if it were fuller on the patio it'd be more lively.Fear a chilly night on the patio?  Not a problem, the servers there are quick to offer their faux-burberry fleece blankets and their portable heat lamps!Would definitely come back again!

Cafe Alibi is an almost perfect place to do some work if you want to stay near Old Town. It's got wifi and lots of outlets inside and out -- and the nice barista heats up the pastries without being asked. There's just one problem. The TV is on loud *all the time.* I find it really distracting. Cafe Alibi is pretty small, so there's no way to escape from the noise without going outside. I'd give four stars if it didn't have a TV.

hooray! It's finally re-opened after a lengthy hibernation!I've been wanting to try this little coffee shop for a looooooong time, but they always seem to be closed when I had time to stop by. So when I was in Old Town again earlier today and saw the half-opened 'welcoming door', I had to park my car and 'ran' to the shop before it closes again! But mind you, NO NEED TO RUN, because what awaits inside really isn't anything special. There is a huge blackboard hanging on the wall, with their store name "Cafe Alibi" written on it... but no menu!?  eh... what do I order?  Took me about 5 mins to spot a non-professionally printed paper menu sadly lying around by the cash register. They've got your typical items, the americano, mocha, capuccino, etc. Since it was pretty warm today, I decided to give the "iced caramel macchiato" a try.  The server/owner was quick on taking my order and started making it right away. However, my heart started to sink when I saw him FERVENTLY pumping out caramel syrup and  squeezing out some other stuff....o no.. that's a lot of 'sweetness'... and yep, for about $4, I got a cup of  Iced EXTRA Caramel Macchiato! Good news is I also got abundant amount of ice, so I was still able to drink it.They also have a TV and couple computers.. and a snack counter with no pastries inside... As Mark M. mentioned below, it does look like a storefront with computers+coffee brought from their home, hopefully they will improve on food/coffee/decor in the future, because the location and space have so much potential!!!!!

I don't know what's going on with this place, but they don't have a website nor a set schedule, so it'd be serendipitous fortune if I should come upon this place when they are open and functional. (Please let me know if you know the best time to go). I like the outdoor seating area, love the fact that you can smoke out there. The indoor area was dim and a little disheveled. Drink was good, but the atmosphere was awkward and disruptive. It felt like I was going into somebody's backyard without invitation. The owner and his buddies were having a grand time... me, not so much.

Cafe Alibi has a really chill ambience that I enjoyed.  I had their soy chai latte but I think the barista forgot the soy because it didn't really taste different than a regular chai latte.  It was nothing too special so I think next time I'll try something else.  It's a cool little spot to go to because it's not too crowded and people will leave you alone to do your own thing, which I appreciate.  There's only street parking and the parking enforcers are on their bikes patrolling the area 24/7 it seems, so definitely keep track of the time when you're there.  They have a cool little chess/checkers table, a nice big flat screen tv, and an adorable outdoor patio that has a cool water fountain.  I could imagine it being totally awesome to chill in the patio on a summer day.  I saw their collection of hookahs so I think I may come back in the evening to do that.

definition of cafe alibi: best chai tea latte around, yay!besides the chair tea latte (large is only $3.50!), cafe alibi has fruit smoothies (i've tried the mango, which isn't bad) and other drinks. they also have sandwiches, which are about 7 bucks, but they're literally a foot long, though the sandwiches are really generic, so nothing special in taste.in addition to food, FREE WI-FI, really nice baristas, a flat screen tv with movies, computer for internet use, a couch, a chess table, and a patio for those lovely umbrella seats. quiet when not that many people (or when all of them are watching the movie) so great place to study. only setback is parking, which is poopoo. and lighting isn't that great when it gets dark.
