Famous Hamburger Reviews
Worse Hookah Service! by Elizabeth
The first times I went there, the service was decent.. Then, my friends and I went there. Service sucked!! The owners or family member were rude and stuck up! We literally sat there for 20 min for someone to pay attention to us, the when we complain that our hookah needed more charcoal and for then to blow out the ash from the top part the "hookah server" gived us attitude & ignored us!. Never again will I go there. Better places to smoke hookah & have a good time with better customer service.

Yummy Halal food, great casual decor, actual waitresses (not some family member in a shalwar kameez), and a it's open LATE! I've been here twice and members of my family have been here even more times and we all agreed that they have consistently good food and service. The halal bacon cheeseburger is grease heaven and I love their potato wedges and onion rings. They also have great milkshakes and fresh juices.Havent tried it, but in Ramadan they have an iftar buffet (with American and Arab food) and they are open for suhur. They also have a full sheesha / hookah area on the outside patio.

This place closes at 4am that is right! They serve Breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner. The food they serve are pretty much Diner food, Mexican food, and a Hookah lounge outside. Overall the food is great especially the salads they are enormous and good for you. Besides the food. The ambiance and people are wonderful including the owner.

Famous Hamburgers is a new burger joint in the city of Bell. It sits catter corner to another similar burger joint/diner. What is so special about famous burger?ITS HALAL!!!!yes for all the muslims out there, you can eat a delicious burger with halal bacon! halal chili dogs, halal chicken wings. FULL HALAL MENU. that alone gives it an edge over competitors, but thats not the best part. the best part is the food. the meat does taste different. it tastes fressh. not freezer burnt. its juicy. its just tasty all around.the service is also very attentive.very clean and spacious.they have flat screens on the walls to catch the local game on TV.and they have a HOOKAH patio!!!so not only can you watch the game and eat, you can also smoke and chill. its a local hangout for all the young muslims from the area, but is open to everyone.very friendly and inviting ambiance. if you want middle eastern food, then you would drive a few blocks down florence to another local restaurant. this is more of a burger joint. a reasonably priced one at that.also if you need to pray, they accomodate that as well.the food is good, so now when your friends want to go grab a burger and you dont want to get stuck eating a fish sandwich, go to FAMOUS HAMBURGERS. its worth it.

Famous is one of my favorite places to eat in LA. What's so great about this place is that their entire menu is delicious, reasonably priced, and Halal. The place is clean, has great decor, and even better staff. Every time I have been there, we have had excellent service and Haj Ali, the owner, is always going around from table to table making sure everything is perfect. As far as the menu goes, my favorite so far has been their Steak and Cheese Sub. It's delicious! Kind of reminds me of the Philly Cheese Steak. And they also have a Wall of Fame where you will find photos of daring souls that have managed to finish the aptly named Wall of Fame (One-Pound) Burger. As of earlier tonight, I am honored to have officially joined the elite group!Once you're done eating, you can step out on to the patio and treat yourself to some Hookah. You should try out the Passion Kiss flavor. It's awesome!Check this place out, I'm sure you'll love it!

Based on the reviews, I tried this place on a Friday evening. Ordered Fish Chips to go. Not much fish, lots of fries, *nothing* else in the take-out-box. $8.29. Overpriced for what you get.

There's not much to think about here: Halal, great food, amazing service, and did I mention you can get your burger on a whole wheat bun? While, I am a total health buff, I love this place and wholeheartedly recommend it to family for a casual dinner, a family dinner, or just for the heck of it! By the way, they are open late - 12 on weekdays and 3 on weekends.

i totally agree with dj s . this place was about the worst burger joint i've ever been. how someone could like this place leads me to believe they have never eaten good food. if you have poor eyesight and limited taste buds, then this might be the place for you.

All you people below this review are out of your mind and have obviously never eaten a descent hamburger. I don't even know where to start. But you know something is wrong when you walk in and see three female Muslim staff all sitting around eating. I couldn't help notice that the carpet looked like it had recovered from a flood. Now to the burger...a cheese burger at McDonald's tastes better than this. A generic bun, meat, cheap American cheese, nasty fatty bacon, and the sauce. I did not realize that my burger came with house sauce. Since I could never find my waitress I had to go up to her with my top bun and ask for a replacement bun. She turned to the cook/owner and he looked at me and said "you want a top...well...I can't do anything with the bottom" and reluctantly gave me a full bun. So I went back to my seat and got about three bites of my burger and came to the conclusion that I would rather eat a plain bun and water than waste my appetite on one of the worst tasting burgers and flat diet coke with rotten lemon wedge. Don't waste your time or $ at this place. Try Ruby's, Islands, or Claim Jumper if you want to taste a real burger.

I began by trying to think of a reason to deduct points in order to maintain complete objectivity; I couldn't come up with any complaints. The food is delicious here, and in perfectly-sized portions. The prices are all reasonable with the exception of the juices. And what of the selection? Where else can you get burgers, sandwiches, Mexican cuisine, Middle-Eastern cuisine, breakfast, dessert, and hookah in one restaurant? If you are out with friends and are feeling indecisive then definitely make the drive out to Bell.
