This is one of those spots you come to once, never go back, but never forget. Why would i never forget it, you ask? Because of all the characters i saw here... While driving back to the hotel one night, me and my girlfriend were SO hungry we could have eaten anything... and as we drive by this little plaza we see a sign saying 2 pizzas for only $10! Wow, that's a great deal! We walked in to find HOARDS of high school kids sitting around tables smoking hookah! LOL! I was like Kyle's Mom in South Park "Wha Wha What!" I don't know the legality of it, i pretty sure it's ok since it's not tobacco... but it's really just a funny sight to see all these young kids sitting around being "Cool" smoking. Now the lady that worked there, which i assume is the owner, was SUPER nice... so nice in fact that she was a bit awkward too, lol. She wanted to make sure that we were as happy as could be while we waited for our pizzas, she even offered US a little bit of hookah, although we politely declined.I wish i could say the pizza was good, but it really wasn't that great. When we got back to the hotel we could see why it was 2 for $10. They were awfully small and thin... and just didn't hit the spot...However 2 pizzas for $10 is a good deal, and that lady was just so nice! And the sight of all those kids sitting around with the Hookahs was something else... I've experienced better, but would still say go check this place out if you're looking for a deal...

It was 10:48 on a Tuesday night and we were on a food run in search of something that would suffice for our late dinner. It seemed like everything along PCH was closed for the night so we started heading back down to Carl's/Green Burrito, when we suddenly spotted a neon OPEN sign next to Tara Thai, one of our favorite Thai restaurants along the way. We pulled in to see if they were really open, hoping they didn't just forget to turn off their sign, and much to our delight they were! There was a group of teens congregated outside smoking hookah and sharing a pizza and as we entered the casual pizza parlor, we were kindly greeted by a charming lady with a knack for making customers feel welcome. She informed us that they serve hookah and are open Sun-Wed till midnight and Thurs-Sat till 2 AM. Yay! Late-night options! We ordered a large Seaside Supreme (pepp, sausage, salami, ham, onions, peppers, olives, mushrooms, cheese) to go and amused ourselves by playing chess while we waited for our pie. More like I was learning how to play and Jon was instructing me. =)The smells emanating from the box taunted us the whole way home and when we finally dug into our pizza, we were amazed by all the meaty toppings piled on top. The crust was thin and crispy but chewy at the same time, which Jon really liked. Unfortunately for me, as much as I really wanted to LOVE their pizza, I just couldn't. It was just OKAY. Something about the flavor combo of our toppings looked good on paper but didn't taste quite right and I prefer a softer, fluffier crust over a dense one. When you fold a slice, the crust resists and tears on the bottom because it is so tough, which I wasn't too thrilled about. I'm a native New Yorker, so I like to fold my pizza slices. I am also equipped with the keen ability to spot a good pizza when I see one. This pizzeria claims to be "New York Style," like all the other wannabes in California, but also like most of the west coast wannabes, it fails to live up to the name.I really like the owner (I think the lady who made our pizza was the owner), the casual atmosphere, the fact that they serve hookah, the option of getting whole wheat dough, and the late night hours, so I would definitely go back. But I think the next time I do, I'll try their chicken with roasted potatoes.
