I worked in Pasadena and used to go on my training runs there and never once did I pass by Eden Garden! Eden Garden used to be Holly Street Bar and Grill but changed ownership and now it's Lebanese/Mediterranean food. The restaurant is huge and the back patio is absolutely charming! We went on a Friday night for an early dinner and it's very romantic, albeit we were 3 lady and a man (a gay man too that is) but it really is decorated like the secret garden back there with ivies across the wall and Christmas lights strung all around. They played the best of Frank Sinatra and the weather was warm with the pitter patter of rain. Could be a great little spot for a date but also large enough for a group get together for sure. Parking is also available unlike Old Pas!There are tons of options on the menu and I had the Kefta (ground meat with spices) and hummus. The food is tasty and great prices! Entree was around $13. We stayed around for coffee and dessert which I thought was nothing special since it was hodgepodge American desserts. I would definitely recommend this place for the food and the patio ambiance! Skip dessert and head out to some of the yummier options like 21 choices in Pasadena! Oh and I forgot, try the watermelon hookah!

They made up for it...My lovely family of three came here to celebrate my first Mothers Day. We made reservations and were told the patio was booked. I didn't mind because this place is beautiful inside and out. This was my first visit back since the ownership change. We parked in the parking garage across the street and they don't validate, but it was free that Sunday anyway. We were sat promptly, bread basket brought out....then nothing. No server, no water, no hellos. I've spent many years in the hospitality industry and just know this happens sometimes. I was dying for a drink so I got up and asked for waters and a drink menu. I believe a manager noticed I was having to help myself. He asked how everything was, I let him know 20 minutes into being here we haven't met our server. He was kind, professional, and apologetic that he asked a server to take care of us and they did. Two complimentary mimosas with 2 extra refills. It hit my happy spot. That totally made up for feeling neglected in the beginning.I was able to order my fav salad for when they were Holly Street, the Chinese Chicken Salad. They serve it only for lunch. The food was excellent as expected. With a manager like that, I highly recommend! It definitely put a smile on my face for the rest of the day!!

was here a few nights ago with some friends, when it was cold rainy, we sat outside in the patio area, which has a big awning to cover the entire patio so we were nice dry. they also had gas heaters outside to keep us toasty. we sat outside warm, dry toasty smoking hookah indulging in all kinds of wonderfully delicious food, we ordered different entrees appetizers and shared with each other, i had the 3 of a kind kabob with chicken, lamb beef, the beef was mouthwateringly delicious, tender juicy and exploding with flavor, the chicken was also very good, the lamb was just ok. i also tried the olive tapenade i believe its called which was very delicious as well. we had some drinks, the service was excellent, they were very attentive to us, we also had the deserts, the creme brulee stood out to me as being very good. good place to chill in old town area, off the main drag, mellower vibe.

Eden Garden is mostly empty almost every time I'm there, and that makes me sad. The food is very reasonably priced, the servers are friendly and attentive and the atmosphere is really nice...the tented patio area has an especially good vibe. I've started coming here for lunch almost once a week since deciding to go vegetarian. Most of the soups are veggy-based, and they have possibly the best falafel I've had anywhere on Earth. The vegetarian platter has generous portions of hummus and other dips -- you'll almost certainly have left overs to take home. Their salads are crispy, delicious piles of goodness that are presented beautifully. I'm hoping to try the brunch sometime soon, will report back on that when it happens.

I went with a friend on a weeknight and the place was practically empty. The food was excellent and had a great atmosphere. The whole time I was thinking that I HAD to bring my fiance. The waiters were a little bit absent the whole evening except to refill our drinks once but the attendant was great about making sure that our coals were fresh for our hookah.I'm a fan!

Great ambiance, great staff, good food--based only on my one chicken sandwich. I love the brick building, patio with awning, iron gate, garden feel of it. And, the waiter was wearing black and was older than 16, so it felt more upscale (including linen tablecloth and napkins), though the prices ranged from $8 for falafel to the twenties for upper-level meals. Great price range for the ambiance to satisfy all wallets...

I am a big fan of the Eden Garden Cafe in Glendora, so when I found out that there was sister restaurant in Old Town I had to check it out. We made a reservation for the 6 of us at 9pm Friday. I was pleasantly surprised that when we arrived it was not busy at all! After being seated the waiter came and took our drink orders and told us there was a 25 dollar minimum per person on Friday and Saturday! I think this is kind of ridiculous but we stayed and ordered. The food was really good. I highly recommend the beef kabobs and hummus. We also ordered two hookahs and they didn't seem to last as long as the other Eden Garden. Overall I would say my experience was positive and would recommend going if you enjoy Mediterranean food and a nice atmosphere.

I have one word for you: Kanafeh.http://en.wikipedia.or...For some reason, I have a hard time finding Kanafeh at restaurants nowadays. But Eden Garden has it on their menu and WHOA did it hit the spot. Never tried Kanafeh? You're only half alive. Sorry. The place is kind of boring to be honest and the food was kind of bland, but they had really good service which always counts for something. The hookah is pretty good if you know which flavors to get (I recommend the white grape). Overall, the place is much better for relaxing nights when the focus is on conversation as opposed to a highly social, upbeat night when you want more of a chaotic environment.

I called the restaurant a 1/2 hour before my party's arrival to ensure that we could get a patio table and the host told me there would be room for us in 1/2 hour ... of course when we arrived 1/2 hour later, the SAME HOST, told me there was no room on the patio now! Irritated, we decided to go to another restaurant. As we were leaving the host stopped us and told us there is now a free patio table ... so when we walk back there we're expecting to see one pretty crowded patio area, RIGHT??!! Except it wasn't crowded AT ALL!! Maybe 25% full at most!! and it stayed relatively empty for the next hour. I don't know what the hell they are trying to pull here, but it's pretty insulting to be told there is no availability and then be shown a patio that is truly only 1/4 occupied. Anyways ... our food totally salvaged the experience. It was excellent! and the prices were sooo reasonable! Based on the food and price alone I would give this place 5 stars but the awkward host really ruined it for me. If you're a garlic fan try the garlic picnic appetizer it's straight up roasted garlic served with a side of blue cheese, it's knock-your-head-back-good!!!I also noticed that by the end of the night we were the only non-greeks in the place, so it's gotta be authentic eatin' right?
