Before and after the move from San Francisco, I had been working hard on my list of new "my place for ..." One thing I hadn't figured putting on the list (though "closest Starbucks" and "closest Container Store" somehow made it in) was a cigarette shop. It took about a week or two after the move, living off reserve packs and a carton the boyfriend had picked up waaaay out in the boonies, before the lack of "our" cigarette store became a problem.I don't smoke fancy, import or expensive cigarettes. For fear of embarrassment or labeling, I'd rather not say what I smoke, but it's just a Philip Morris brand. I cannot relate fully how absolutely frustrating it is trying to find a place that sells my cigarettes in packs, muchless cartons. I spent an entire evening calling up smoke shops, asking if they had my brand.Then I called this place. The guy who picked up the phone was really nice and when I asked for the store hours, not only did he give me their holiday hours (I called a day before Thanksgiving) but also their normal hours. And can I just tell you, the store is open until 11PM on weeknights!They give free lighters when you buy a carton, as far as I can tell. Which is a huge plus for my boyfriend as he needs to have his lighters velcro'd to his person. It's a bit like walking into a smoke shop on Haight and Ashbury (read: head shop, kinda sketchy, "Spencer's Gifts"-like qualities), except not as pricey and with much, much, MUCH MORE porn/cheesecake. I try not to stay inside (or even outside) the store too long, for obvious reasons (read: boobs).Parking is a pain sometimes. Definitely now "my cigarette store."

i consider myself a somewhat seasoned veteran of the ganja community, and all the toys/tools that go along with it.  and this place had several items (bongs of sorts??) that my friend stinky and i couldn't even figure out the concepts of.  in addition to a vast array of dry pipes, bubblers, bongs, hookahs, tons of cigarettes (bali shag for $3.99?!), flasks, huuuuge porn section ('pink eye' hahaha), and more lighters than i could ever know what to do with.browsing this shop after our buddy's 21st birthday party the night before was fairly uplifting.  we were all equally haggard and hungover, so finding bali shag for as cheap as i did definitely brightened my day.

Love the cheap prices. on all the glass items. elsewhere at a high price so worth the traffic on whittier blvd....very friendly and nice staff...same people everytime...check it out

If you're a smoker in Echo Park this is the spot for you.  Cheap prices, cool staff, nice location (minus the parking - don't even try the lot!), and everything you need to get your session going.  They also have seedy looking porn if you're into that.

When it comes down to it, we need a place for cheap paper and glass. Forget all the other locations in LA especially the ones off Melrose or the one spot downtown that doesn't have everything and what is there is an arm and leg. If you need cheap and know what's quality, this place has it. This is your classic head shop, no frills get your clear rolling papers and black light poster kind of place. Including in all the smokers delights are sex toys and adult paraphernalia. Central to Eastside LA why go any where else?
