At first, I have doubted this place, since it wasn't on Steinway, where I like it with more people around. If you like quietness, here's your place. I loved the very back seating. I felt like I was outside without being outside. The food was pretty good as well. The service was pretty decent, but got a bit slow in the middle but we were served well. The place is designed very well, more of a vintage-victorian look. As weird as it sounds, I love the look of the women's bathroom, especially the sink and the window lace!

Ahhhhh Soho Cafe, my favorite hookah bar in the world! (and yes, that is a very big statement)My friends and I always have a fabulous time when we come here.  Yes, sometimes the wait staff can be a bit 'lax' when it comes to refreshing the coals but I'm willing to look past that.  Soho is comfy, cheap, has great food hookah, and has a lovely little back patio that is heated in the winter.  The owner, who knows my friends and me, always makes conversation and is super friendly.  I'm just still hoping for a free hookah or dessert from him....maybe one day haha.

I was really disappointed with my experience here. I had heard such good things, but I felt like we were kind of shoved into the back of the outdoor seating - which they make seemingly discrete and not particularly decorative. Service was fast but borderline snippy. Then, service became very slow, and it took forever to get the check.Had the fresh fruit hookah, with strawberry inside an apple. I couldn't really taste the apple at all. Egyptian tea wasn't anything to write home about. Didn't eat anything there, so I have nothing to say about that. I'd probably be inclined to give this place one star, but the friend whom I was with, as well, was a bit shocked at our treatment on a Friday night. Thus, we might try to go back there again, maybe on a weeknight.

Dear Soho Cafe,Oh, I just love you. So, so much. I just want to sit in your adorable cafe, smoke your peach hookah, eat your Soho soup and chicken avocado salad, and have long, intellectual hookah conversations on your comfortable corner couches. In the summer I want to enjoy your closed in patio space on weeknight evenings with a latte. Though you're very traditional and don't serve alcohol, I don't miss it at all given all the other delicious things you offer. And in moments of weakness, your french fries really hit the spot. Most importantly, with $10 hookah, friendly staff and the best owner ever, I think it's pretty impossible for you to do any wrong. So, this is just a letter to let you know I love you. Unconditionally.xoxo,Maiah J.
