Good food.  The portions are big so it is best to share.  The restaurant isn't an ideal place to dine in.  I end up getting my order to go.  The staff tends to give you the "once over" when you come in.  The average wait is about 20 minutes to get your order.  Everytime I've been in, the staff is always outside smoking hookah.  I still think the food is good though.

Food was alright; however, atmosphere and service was terrible. Ordered  a combo kabob plate and it came with generous portions of food that could be shared with two. I agree 100% with Phillip G's comment about the place. We were the only ones eating and everyone else was there for the hookah. I highly do NOT recommend it as a date spot. I gave two stars because at least the food was alright.

Lebanese food,  and crappy atmosphere.  On first approach you might think, "hey, regular restaurant", and then you sit down and notice "hey no one else is eating".  Most people just seem to go there to hang out and double park their cars, the food is okay.  The rice is ho-hum, the meat is average, and the garlic sauce is really strong.  I think it's okay.  But everytime I've been there rarely is anyone else eating, we have our suspicions, but alas, the food is all right.

went here once with some friends. we were the only ones there who were eating because everyone else, staff included, was watching tv and smoking hookah. the food was ok, but the service was terrible. we ordered appetizers that never came until we got the rest of our food. but i guess that was a blessing in disguise because of my friends didn't get his food until we were almost done eating and they only brought it to him after we had asked for it twice. the one redeeming quality about this place: all the kids who come to smoke hookah while simultaneously double-parking and blocking your car. oh yes, and the thought that one of them might whip out a gun at any moment. that was fun.

I don't know about the food, but the hookah is pretty good. They have Starbuzz hookahs for $14 a pop and $7 for refills, which is the price a lot of places charge for lesser-quality tobacco. As I always do at hookah places, I asked for their special, and the Janna special is a blend of Starbuzz that's quite tasty. The service was solicitous and helpful, especially for a hookah palce, and they put the coals on the outside rim of the tobacco bowl as you should. There was a raucous game of poker going on inside, but otherwise it was pretty calm. I'd come back here.

I had to go there on a class assignment, and the moment I got there, I knew it was a bad choice. I had checked on yelp, and usu find the reviews to be pretty spot-on.The kabob was very salty, and the dips tasted like they were straight out of a can. The sever was nice and gave us free drinks, but if that had been my first taste of Lebanese, I might not ever eat it again. Try the grand cafe in La mirada if you are looking for more authentic or fresh food.otherwise, just go to Zankou if you want a shwarma.seems like its really just a hookah spot.also, parking was a hassle. blocked cars.

I've been coming here for YEARS...BUT that was BEFORE Jack and Nick bought it and F'd it all up. Yeah, the food is fine but the atmosphere is nowhere NEAR it's original setting. The previous owner was a nice Lebanese woman who made it feel like your friend's mom's living room. Large television sitting on the floor with a crack in the screen always playing Arabic programming. The music was older and more relaxing. Once in a while you'd hear a more "modern" song from the typical names like Amr Diab and Diana Haddad. The hookah was $7 a go and the service was very good. Then the previous owner got married and Jack and Nick took over.FYI: They're the same guys who own Feshawi and that other hookah joint across from Zankou. At any rate, they changed it from cozy and comfy to trendy and loud. Now you go and you find teenagers who aren't old enough to do anything else besides smoke hookah and have competitions on who can be the most abnoxious and pretentious. The music is american rap/hip-hop. The service is wretched. It's sad. I used to come here with friends 2-3 times every week, and now I pass by it and all I give it is a glance and a sigh.Food is still decent but I agree with everyone else. Get your food to go and don't stay if you enjoying being an adult.3/5 only because I have previous emotional attachments to Janna.

I've had okay experiences here. Although, I usually go with other regulars who know the owner pretty well--this usually translates into better service.Funny thing is that I've also never been here during normal hours. It's always late night when I drop by. That's one redeeming factor about this place, actually: they're open damn late. The hookah is okay and they constantly replace the charcoals, so that's good.I agree that I found it funny that I never see anyone eating here either, though I mainly attributed that to the fact that I was coming in late each time. Most of the staff or regulars (I can't really tell) hang out outside and smoke hookah and usually have some debate going on. The one food item I've had was a chicken kabob plate during my very first visit, which was pretty good. Nowadays, I just get some tea and chill on that while socializing with friends. The place is quaint, in my opinion, during the late nights and a nice last-minute thing to do if you feel like having a smoke.

ESCAPE FROM DISNEYLAND.  At a convention at the Anaheim Convention Center I was suffering from acute Denny'sStarbuckstraphobia.  Just four miles away is the real world and Janna (I think it's Arabic for "Paradise") is the real thing.  The whole menu is great but the lunch special is the best.  The second time there I didn't even ask what the special was..."just bring it".  Super-friendly yet businesslike service (Amad was my waitperson; Alex is one of the owners).

Uhh...Yeah, it's awkward and in a ghetto ass strip mall.  Yeah, there's all these random people playing cards in front.Yeah, they all look like they will kick your ass.Yeah, the inside smells like smokeBut, they are really nice to you. But, they serve this awesome meal for two that is enough food to feed a small city. But the skewers are to die forBut there's a coupon in the entertainment book.

If you love humus and hookah you will love jenna cafe,  they have the best in town hands down,  their food is very pricey but if u want a quick snack their fries are the bomb  i ask for mine crispy if u don't they will be under cooked in my opinion.. then humus is also in the same price range as the fries.  when me an my gf go we usually ask Ryan for a good flavor of star buzz an he's always ontop of his game with WATS new and good.. hookah here is also pricey but happy hr makes up for that.. 6 dollars for any hookah whoa!!lol an they even have a lunch special around that time too..i recommend jenna to most people its a chill atmosphere.
