I've been to soo many persian rest. trust me their meat is halal, dosnt smell, they try to have the most natural products as possible.i love their aush and the stews!they now do delivery!remember try not to take evr1 words(negatives espically)

I "vetoed" going here for lunch today.  Sadly, I would rather skip lunch than go back, which is what I told my friend.  I have gone to Reyhaan a few times, and the first time was with my friend.  On that visit, obviously the place was new, with all of the idiosyncrasies mentioned in some of the other posts-- no wait staff, slow, etc.... but somehow we were fine with that.  The menu is standard Persian fare, and the kuku and koobideh were pretty tasty.  The small side salad was nice and fresh.  We figured that since they were so new, maybe they still had to put finishing touches on the place and hire/train people. I like to support small family owned businesses.  I waited a while before going back, and still had a generous heart in assessing them the second and third times.     I visited two more times.   I could not believe how bad it had gotten on the second visit, so I assumed something was horribly awry that day, and hence went a third time... I was more disappointed, and thus begins my rant...The second and third visits were similar.  The kindly cook Hossein,  who we met on the first visit, was unfortunately  absent and some friendly but scraggly looking and inept fellow had taken over.  The wait was EVEN LONGER.   The already odd drink selection of self-serve  soft drinks, bottled teas/flavored waters, and doogh (persian yogurt drink) was running low and was not replenished with *anything* so I had some gross and overpriced fake fruit flavored sparkling water thing.   The food was different from the first time, and *not* in a good way.  The bread was old/really hard and dried out.  The white rice was like cardboard-flavored minute-rice that had been left out on the counter overnight.  The ghormeh sabzi tasted odd--like maybe they missed a key ingredient or had the wrong ratio.    The soltani was cooked unevenly so parts were overdone and tough, while other areas were almost bloody.   The fresh salad still looked good(!) but it apparently had pure vinegar for dressing and was so acidic, I actually had to resort to drinking my yukky beverage to rinse my mouth.  I never liked the interior (think 80's era, franchised pizza shop with lotsa white ceramic tile)  so the tables outside with cute flower boxes nearby always seemed nicer to me,  but this last time, the fabric tablecloths were sooooooo grimy I did not really want to eat there.  I sat outside anyway, and just did not let my body or silverware touch the filth.  I doubt they ever changed or washed the cloths.   It was more disturbing than I thought it would be, so maybe I should have just dealt with the ugly inside, as I had an icky feeling just eating in close proximity to the dirty cloth.  Mind you, I've traveled and eaten at food stalls in Turkey and S.E. Asia and been delighted, so I'm really not a freaky OCD germ phobe...   I'm just glad I did not get ~the rubber band~ in my food that was mentioned by another reviewer, and apparently is pictured above.  I would have photographed that, frozen it as evidence and reported to the health dept.  Besides being just unbelievably gross, some people have horrible latex allergies, and that could have been fatal to someone.  I'm glad that some people have posted their opinions here honestly... after discussing the last two experiences with my friend today I wanted to see what others have felt.   I just wonder about the 5 star reviews--maybe they are family or friends of the owners?  Now I want to look up their restaurant rating to see if they have been graded--but I'm scared to find a 'C' grade or worse!       For GOOD Persian food:    go to Westwood: Sherazad,  Baran, Canary for regional, Attari for sandwiches.  Also Darya in W. LA, or even Tajrish in Marina Del Rey.    [side notes:  To the reviewer who claimed you need to put butter on rice to make it moist... have you ever actually had or made good persian rice???  The special cooking method ensures light, moist, delicious rice, and a little butter or oil is cooked in so you don't have a greasy-oily mess on your plate.  It is also healthier that way, as you eat less butter.  And BTW, speaking of butter and oil, the other poster who is touting persian food as good diet food--- uhm-- IMHO, I completely disagree and say take that advice at your own risk!!!  Let the facts speak for themselves, and you decide: kashk-o bademjoon is made out of FRIED eggplant, and is garnished with FRIED onions, and FRIED mint floating in more OIL--  it might be olive oil and have "good' fat, but it is still oil and just 1 tablespoon of any oil has 14 grams of FAT/125 calories!  Fesenjoon is made out of *lots and lots* of crushed walnuts and pomegranate paste, and yes, you'll have good fats and antioxidants if they aren't all cooked out, but just ~7~ walnuts have 20 grams of FAT/200 calories!  Oh yeah, and that pool of orange stuff floating at the top is all OIL.  Tasty, yes.  Diet, NO!  I'm gaining weight just writing this!!! ]

Very good food, especially for the area.I've tried pretty much everything on the lunch menu, and it was all quality....at first you're like, wait, this doesn't look like very much food, but by the end you're pretty full (especially since it came with a salad).My one problem with it is that it's sort of expensive- but to be honest, I'll pay that price to avoid the shitty, shitty food of the Howard Hughes Center. I honestly have never had a satisfying meal there. Sad.

My GF likes this place. The 4 stars are from her. I'd go 2 1/2 - 3. We've eaten here 3 times. I'm Vegetarian and they don't have a lot of choice for us but try and work something out. The owner is very kind and helpful.This is one our favorites in the neighborhood, a quiet little place away from the hectic restaurants of Tehrangeles up on Westwood.  Their meats are always succulent and you can fill up on tadiq.With friends and through multiple visits, I think I've been exposed to at least half their menu.  We've enjoyed a number of their appetizers.  The cucumber dip is excellent, and my wife raves about the grape leaves.Their barbecued meats have never disappointed.  The marinade brings out the flavor of the meat, and the meat is never dry.  I think the squab is my favorite at this point.My favorite dish, by far, is the tadiq, which you can get as an appetizer size or a full-on dish.  They did mess it up once, but otherwise it's been a wonderful experience every time.Oh, and they do provide powdered pomegranate to kick it up a notch on whatever.It's my first time of trying Persian food.. and I love it!  My favorite is the shish kabob. I like its unique taste and tenderness.  I tried another restaurant near the airport, so far I still prefer Reyhan's shish kabob even though the other restaurant has better dining area and cheaper.Reyhan has excellent Persian cuisine.  It's kind of in the middle of nowhere but it's close to my work so we frequently visit.  The food is excellent - kabobs, stuffed grape leaves, hummus, yogurt/cuecumber dip...all good. If you're ever in the Culver City/Marina del Rey area it's worth a try.It's always good at Reyhan! I order from here all the time. Today I had the Ghormeh Sabzi - Chunks of lean beef simmered with fresh chopped greens, red beans, dried lime and Reyhan special herbs and spices. Served with Basmati Rice; the homemade hummus, and the appetizer Must O Kheyar - Yogurt with diced Persian Cucumbers and herbs. It was all so yummy!  I love the beef kabobs from here too which is another favorite.

Reyhan has excellent Persian cuisine.  It's kind of in the middle of nowhere but it's close to my work so we frequently visit.  The food is excellent - kabobs, stuffed grape leaves, hummus, yogurt/cuecumber dip...all good. If you're ever in the Culver City/Marina del Rey area it's worth a try.

I finally decided to give this place a try after living in the neighborhood for the past 4 years. It was just so-so. There was NO ONE in the restaurant which wasn't a good sign but I bravely forged ahead and ordered dinner to go. The chicken kabob was average in portion size but was dry. The saffron rice was dry as well. Value = 3 starsTaste = 2.5 stars (dry and overcooked)Likelihood to return = low (1 star)I'd rather drive to Westwood...

I have ever since then, long for a Persian restaurant here in LA just as good as Noon O Kabab in Chicago,  if not better.I discovered Reyhan Persian Grill one day while commuting to work. I was pretty damn exciting about the fact that there is Persian cuisine near by.So far, I've tried out both their beef and chicken koobideh entrees.  At first, the portions were always huge. Until recently, they've added a lunch special.  A choice of one koobideh skewer with basmati rice and a salad on the side. If you dine in, they usually serve a flat bread with butter.What I like about good koobideh is that, it has a great consistency. Unlike any ordinary hamburger patty, it should have some sort of resistance, yet soft, moist and full of flavors. Beef koobideh being served there is good but not phenomenal. Chicken koobideh is a tad on the bland side. Both has great texture and consistency with a good mix of herbs. The salad dressing, in my opinion could use more flavoring, taste is a tad too subtle, perhaps.I have yet to try their other dishes, so my rating may fluctuate depending on their outcomes. I would love to try their stews as well as appetizers and maybe other kabobs.The drinks there are all out of the fridge, so no refills on soft drinks, but not water.I think I saw hookah there but I could be wrong.The services there are not phenomenal. The third time I went there with my coworkers (4 people), the wait was a tad longer than I anticipated. However, the previous time I went there, they served us fairly quick.The place is small but somewhat welcoming. They have outdoor seating but very limited and can be a bit noisy from commuters on Jefferson Blvd.Parking is very limited in the parking lot as it is not so spacious.  However, street parking is everywhere.Personally, I like Canary on Westwood much better. If I'm really craving for Persian food during work lunch hour, this place seems like the place to go. So, go give their beef koobideh a try!

We ordered delivery and it was not horrible, but not anything that I'd go out of my way for. I had a vegetarian dish and my bf had salmon. He said that his was "OK". My rice was very good. Delivery was prompt.

It's always good at Reyhan! I order from here all the time.
