MY 1st uye in so cal at eden garden - show up at 6:00, bring along my sis and her friend because they LOVE Eden Garden - the hookah, the food, the patio - it helps them relax from their hectic nursing duties.  I've lived in covina / glendora for 5 years now and i've never heard of it.  i'm embarassed to say that my daughter tells me about it and how great the hookah is ( isn't there an age requirement for smoking this shit ?!?!)Anyways, we show up annnnnnnnd - no yelpers - huh ??  are you sure ?  can you check your reservation book again - under CJ ?  Yelp ?  The guy looks at me like i'm a clown Eden guy:  is he armenian ? Me:   who ?EG: Mr CJ, Mr YelpMe - i don't think SHE is.  it's for about 20 or so peopleEG :  no - you must have the wrong day.My sis takes over, " well can you set us up over there by the waterfall thingy ?"they said yes, give us a few minutes.  about 5 minutes goes by, can't figure out what the hell is taking so long( the place is not busy ) , the EG guy finally waves us up.  so wonder it took so long - they were setting up tables for 20 people !  no - you don't have to ....ahhhhh never mind.sit down, annette, my sis' friend insists that the sun doesn't hit her - one seat suits her , " ok let's get some hookah."  so they order apple and strawberry.  my hookah virginity popped with a toke of strawberry hookah.  i coughed it out bringing back memories of the 1st time i smoked a joint.  tried the apple - it tasted like licorice - huh ????  tried it again - same taste.  EG guy came by," yeah, the apple taste like licorce, the double apple tastes like apple."  or was it the other way around.finally some yelpers show up ( by this time my sis and her friend are "relaxed" by the hookah - i'm still not getting the hookah thing )roman with victoria and skylar ( sorry - misspelled i'm sure ) and i'm thinking, right on dude - he rolls with two babes !  Some food that my sis ordered comes - i actually liked the hummus.  the sesame oil ( i believe it was sesame oil ) gave it a real nutty taste ( could only have a few bites but that's ok, my sis wolfed it down )  the meat platter decent - that hamburger meat shaped like a hot dog was tasty.  we then get the house blend - jill hits the nail on the head - it's fruity pebbles !!  i like it.  i look up from the 1st toke of this stuff and suddenly there are 20+ yelpers milling around - did they multiply !?!?just as the dancer started to make the rounds - gotta hit the road - sis and friend had a shift that night and they wanted DONUT MAN  !!!talk about temptation - after buying tiger tails ( super fresh )  and strawberry donuts ( made to order ) - how many did i eat ?!?!  NONE ! zero, zip, frickin' nada !  my low carb diet really sucks at times. but my sis and her nursemates were very happy, thank you very much !overall, enjoyed the yelping festivities, the hookah - ahhhh - whatever, the food - decent. thanks for a fun event Mr. CJ Yelp

let me say first that their hookah is one of 'the' best in town..hands down! food is excellent as well. but man! their service sucks to the point of no return! here's why: their hostess(whom i'm guessing is part owner there) literally ignores you when you're waiting to sign in for a table. and when she does take your name down, she'll exagerate by telling us, 'it's an hour to two hours wait'. she'll do her best to discourage you so the bigger party behind you can get the table. more people in a party will mean better service from them. We wanted to test the hostess if it was indeed a 2 hour wait so we waited: We only ended up waiting for half an hour. LIAR I TELL YA, you can tell when you talk to her that she's VERY cocky. and be EXTRA CAUTIOUS if you guys have a party of 5 or less. they will charge you an automatic gratuity for a party of 6 or more(18%! BELIEVE THAT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!) if you don't look wealthy there, they'll treat you like crap. With a corrupted business restaurant like that, i don't care how good your food is, it deserves to be reported to the Better Business Bureau.

This is a PERFECT place to go with your friends or on a date.  PERFECT.  The Eden Garden is beautiful.   It is even more perfect on a summer's night as the main seating area is in a huge covered patio, and there is a large waterfall that you can hear cascading as you dine.  There are white lights strung throughout.  There is an upper level that is equally beautiful that you can reserve for a private party if you wish.  On weekends, at about 8pm there are a couple of belly-dancers that dance around which add to the feel of this place.  The fun part is that you can smoke some hookah, of all flavors (and they only buy the best kind there) all night for one price.  There is a "coal" guy that will come buy when your coals have burned out and refill you.  I suggest asking for an "apple head" with your hookah...it adds so much more to the flavor. They only serve beer and wine here (no hard liquor), and the food is relatively inexpensive.  It's a hit or miss with their lamb, but everything is very flavorful.  You can always start off with some hot or cold appetizers and you won't be disappointed.I can't wait to go back there!

I came here for CJ's UYE.  At first, I was like, wtf Glendora but I'm glad I went.  The place is really nice.  I like their patio, where we sat, cause it resembled like we were really at the Mediterranean.  I didn't get to eat but the food looked tasty.  I hookah with the folks and the waiters were nice and fast.  They have a variety of different flavors.  My favorite would be the cherry flavored one.The best part I guess was when the belly dancers came out.  One of the girl was cute but one was aight lol.  Either way, if I'm in the area again, I'll stop by to try the food.

This is such a great place! Kudos to Val for bringing me here! We came here on a Thursday night. The place is huge! The patio alone probably seats about 160-200? Its like a very fancy...but cheesy patio. Fake grape vines hanging across the ceiling, giant waterfalls in every corner, statue's of Greek gods peeking through the fake jungle decorations. My kinda place! Bring on the Hookah! What we ordered: Falafel- Amazing Hummus- Whats a hookah bar with out hummus! Feta Cheese- I Love feta cheese!! Fatayer Cheese- OMG...these were amazing, i ordered two of these! Malanek- This was not so great...Im not a huge red meat fan anyway We had a lot more dishes...but that's all that I remembered. The food was excellent, Hookah was great, the vibe at this place was overall pretty cool. But the service was a little slow....but nothing too bad. And too top it off...they play a hilarious version of the happy birthday song over and over and they bring out a cake with sparklers! Loads of fun! I will definitely be back soon!

Location and Environment- 5 starsService- 3 starsFood- 4 starsDistinction- 5 starsStupid Bday music- no stars. lol see belowThis is a place you have to go to!!! Even if you don't smoke hookah!  Exotic middle eastern/meditarranean cuisine, alcoholic beverages such as lebanese beer. If you aren't into middle eastern cuisine they also offer common appetizers.  Great for couples or a big group. very nice decor with nice green plants around to help absorb the carbon dioxide omitted from your hookah bong. great parking and lots of space inside.  I hear theres a  long line on a friday or saturday night, just as a caution. Consservice wasn't the greatest, but not the worst. guy took my beer and I still had a couple of swigs left. wtf!!! lolannoying birthday song music.  apparently it's everybody's bday there and they have an arabic accented birthday song in english that in all honesty is annoying, but what makes it worse that it goes off every 15 minutes.  don't let the cons keep you from going! take a hot date or group of friends and score brownie points.Seems like all I do when I come here is smoke the hookah...but this time, I was starving!  I had the chicken kabob while my friend had the shrimp.  Yea, I know...WTF?  Why didn't I have the shrimp???  I asked myself the same question when our food came out.  He was gracious enough to share some shrimp with me. :)  Both were great!  My chicken kabob came with wild rice, veggies, and garlic butter.  Oh, how I love that garlic butter.  I love the set up of this place.  It's just so pretty.  To top the night off, a couple of belly dancers came out for entertainment.  Yay!  I am sooooooo taking belly dancing classes! when i first saw the UYE post for this, i thought... wow.... a UYE in Glendora????  that's my hood,…

Love this place.  We went with friends of ours... an Armenian couple. They had everything pre-ordered and it was delish.  It seems like everyone there knows each other and there are a LOT of regulars. I've never seen hooka before, that was a trip. The only reason I did not give it 5 stars is because of the decor. Plenty of food, great variety, warm service.  I only wish that it was not so far from the westside.

I went here last Saturday with Roman and Victoria for the UYE hookah event (thanks CJ!). I'd never been here before -- or anywhere in Glendora other than the In-N-Out -- and had no idea what it would be like. We almost passed it the first time as it's in an unassuming parking lot surrounded by mechanics. Maybe that's just how Glendora rolls? Anyway, the valet guy was cool with us parking the car on our own. When walked into the restaurant it was really tiny. I was thinking to myself, "How is a UYE of 18 people plus others going to fit in here?" Then we were taken to the gargantuan patio. "Oh." We were sat at a long table up on the raised part of the patio. With the canopy above us, it had a very nice feel to it. The people who were there before us already had two hookahs going, so Roman, Victoria and I decided to get one of our own. We ordered apple (make sure you get apple, not double apple as the latter tastes like black licorice not apple). It was pretty good. I also liked how we all got our own plastic mouth pieces -- they were referred to "hookah condoms" as the night wore on. After getting the hookah started, we all looked at the menu. Hummus was quickly ordered. Ick. The WORST hummus I've ever had. Everyone agreed it tasted like peanut butter. Roman ordered the yogurt and cucumber dip which I liked a lot. I'm a mixer and I realized the mixing the two dips together was tasty as it cut the nuttiness from the hummus. In the third wave of ordering appies I got the walnut, roasted bell pepper and pomegranate dip (started with an M). That was by far the best of the three dips ordered. It was rich with a hint of spice. If I had to do it over again, I would just order one of those for myself and call it a night. More and more people showed as the sun set and the stars came out. It was soon time to order entrees. At first our waiter told us they had a policy for big groups that there could only be a set menu that was $25/person and it did not include alcohol or hookah. Say what? He then went to talk with the manager and told us that as long as we ordered a minimum of $15/person we would be ok. Thank goodness. I got the veggie plate. More hummus (no substitutes), baba ganoush, tabouli and falafel. It didn't really hit the Middle Eastern spot, but it was ok. After the meal I ordered tea. It was very good for being from a tea bag. After I was half way through the tea I saw that they had Turkish coffee. Of course I had to order that as well. I've had much more flavorful Turkish/Greek coffee before, but it was still pretty damn good.Overall, I don't think it would be worth driving all the way out there for the food. It was worth it, however, to hang out with the wonderful Yelpers!
