Ate there once - it was awful, boring , bland, tasteless, overcooked. Only reason it gets 2 stars is for closeness to the beach.

Although I walked into Gaby's today craving a gyro and feeling like a kid whose ice cream cone fell on the ground when I realized they didn't have gyro, I quickly dusted the disappointment off, I realized there are far worse things in life and decided to go with the #7 which was the Shawerma combo. For about $9 I got generous servings of chicken shawerma, beef shawerma, hummus, garlic sauce, rice, pita and a choice of house salad or Cesar salad. This is a lot of food! It's enough to eat half for lunch and half for dinner (unless you're like me and just end up eating your left overs around 3:30-4:00) They've got a pickle station where they've got pickled carrots and jalapenos, pickled cucumbers, pickled turnips and pickled cabbage. I could make a meal out of a couple sides and pickles. I bet that would cost even less than the $ I paid for my combo plate! Gaby's is a keeper!

came here on a lil low key date with the bf. gabys was a random lil spot that neither of us have ever seen but are glad we stopped in.. we were looking for something "new" to eat and off to gabys we went.. it was kind of like drab since they sit you in the outside patio witha cover on it.. i can imagine it would be much cuter or like "date-y" if they have like better lighting some cool music on since they have like cute tables and flat screens.. it was kind of odd that they had a food stand like OUT THERE right where you sit but i suppose that made it speedier.. the food is good i got the falafal plate which was WAY MORE than enough.. kind of dry since they dont serve any sauce with it which i was surprised about but the rice was delish and they serve a hugeeeee salad with it,. bf got the chicken kabob and he like his i figured since the place was empty and he like mine since he finished the falafals i couldnt eat... also we noticed there was hookas and wine at random tables but no hooka or wine on the menu.. so we asked they have triple apple, peach and grape for flavors which is very minimal but either way i wanted peach so i was happy.. also i got a glass of wine which was fairly full for a glass of wine and i even noted "babe itll prob be like 15 bux for this glass hahah thats why its not on the menu" but hey .. i wanted wine.. i guess they serve beer too but not sure what kinds.. got the bill.. 2 full dinners.. hooka and wine.. 30 bux.. not bad at all. and now that we know they have hookaaaaa in culver im sure we will frequent this place more often.. i would def suggest going with a group over a lil date spot tho def.

Gaby's food is Gaby's food is Gaby's food. The reason I docked a star is I just don't really like the location and how small and cramped it is.They do have an outdoor patio - which is the preferred seating in my opinion. Inside - seems too icky and humid to want to eat in there. Plus, the set up is a mess indoors.Peep the pix.I always order the chicken kabob plate and a pita sandwich with fries.FYI - their fries are hit or miss. Sometimes crispy and sometimes soft and soggy. If you want or crave Gaby's - go to the one on Venice in Culver City.

I love going here whenever I'm in the Marina. My boyfriend and I sat on the patio and people-watched for our entire meal, and that is probably why I love this Gaby's location so much.I love the lemon mahi mahi and cilantro salmon filet meals here, and of course, you cannot go wrong with chicken schwarma, kebab, or kafta pita wrap sandwiches, along with yummy fries. What is it about their fries? I'm addicted. I'm also constantly craving the free zaatar here, and it is often the reason my boyfriend and I eat here rather than take out. This location is best for people watching but parking is a pain in the butt. And after going to Gaby's for so long and so often, finally met the owner - thank you for the great food and hospitality! I heart Gaby's, at all three locations.Gaby's Chicken Kabob Plate. Flavorful chicken, tasty rice pilaf, amazing garlic paste, hummus (served with full pitas for shoveling this chickpea awesomeness into your maw) and a small salad for under $10? I'm in.Although I walked into Gaby's today craving a gyro and feeling like a kid whose ice cream cone fell on the ground when I realized they didn't have gyro, I quickly dusted the disappointment off, I realized there are far worse things in life and decided to go with the #7 which was the Shawerma combo. Gaby's is a keeper! The Lemon Chicken is amazing and the portion is gigantic. I like to look at my plate of food and imagine it as the map of a fantasy land. First we have rice pilaf mountain, the lemon sauce sea, chicken island and the salad forest. I've been to all three Gaby's (Washington, Lincoln and Venice) - only Washington and Venice serve this dish but of the two the Washington cooks have it down better.I was on my way to Venice Beach and hungry as Hell, so I swung by Gaby's for a quick bite. I'm not from the area so I didn't know any great eats nearby, but it seems my intuition served me well in this case. We were promptly seated and given pita with some delicious substance comprised of, I'm guessing, olive oil, lemon juice, dried parsley, sesame seeds, and sea salt. It was great. I ordered the chicken shawerma and it was absolutely the best chicken shawerma I've ever had in my life. My boyfriend had a falafel sandwich, which was good, but a little cumin-y for my taste. I've never had falafel so cumin-y. Maybe that's the way it's supposed to be, but I wasn't used to it. The service was quick and friendly, and the outdoor seating was great. There are lots of great Mediterranean restaurants in my neighborhood in Tempe, so I'm not easily impressed. I think that Gaby's is pretty amazing.

Great Food and very affordable prices. Havent had a bad meal. My onl complaint is sometimes the pita is cold coz the leave it in a basket outside its not freshly grilled. But overall its fantastic!

I'm a little disappointed because multiple people have expressed their love for Gaby's and I've been disappointed every time. I've been to two of their locations...the express one one Washington (in MDR) and the regular one on Washington by the Venice Pier...the second was better, but nothing much. The meat is always dry. The greek salad is yummy, but I'm not going to rave about a place beacuse of a salad with lettuce, tomatoes, cucumbers, and feta...and let's be honest, what greek salad isn't yummy? If I could do 2.5, I would because I feel like 2 is a little harsh, but 3 is too nice...so I went with my harshness, sorry!

Pretty good place! This is probably your best option for quality cheap eats in the area. Nothing fancy, but it does the job. I like the lamb dishes and the bread is always fresh. They also have a breakfast menu and extensive vegetarian selections.

Just...bleh.Great location - square amidst the hustlebustle of the strip, and a quick walk from the bars and beach. BYOB is, as always, a minor inconvenience but mostly a boon - no liquor markup and there's a convenience store next door to pick up a six of whatever you want. No retsina, though, which is always a plus of going to Greek restaurants. The food: Lentil soup was saturated with lemon (and served with an extra slice just in case our faces hadn't been blasted to citrusville). A falafel plate was passable but dry, and the tsatziki was salty enough to elicit a pucker. My friend's chicken souvlaki was uninteresting. It's one of the cheapest eats on the strip, though, I guess that's a plus.Unfortunately, as I was only in town for a night, I don't have a better option to recommend. Good luck, Marina Del Rey.
