i don't hookah, but i usually just come with my friends for fun. this place is outdoors and its nice and clean. lots of tables and room. however, the lady made my friends and i pay "extra" we couldn't just sit and hang out, she wanted us to each spend $5 each. whatever, we ended up getting 3 drinks, an order of fries and hummus w/ pita bread. it took forever for our orders  to come out, and they didn't even come out together! i had to go in and ask for my fries, because they had forgotten about it.also, at first the coal guy came by every 10-15 mins, then he just disappeared.

I wanted to like this place... I really did.  My wife and I were looking to try something different for lunch from our usual rotation of restaurants in Garden Grove.  We live in the area, so we are firm believers of supporting the local businesses.Upon walking in, there were tools all about and the tables were dusty from the interior remodeling.  That just did not add to the ambiance of the place.  We weren't quite sure if we were to order at the counter or grab a table since we were not greeted for about 3 minutes.  That must have been a sign.  The hostess finally seated us and recommended a table outside.  What a bad idea!  It was like a sauna out there; inevitably not helped by the sheetmetal (or whatever the third-world inspired sheeting) that is used to cover the patio.  I'm sure it is a different story at night, but damn was it hot!To the food... "Does this taste like diesel fuel?' my wife asked after taking a sip from her soda.  Whatever it was, I tasted it from my water glass as well.  Not good!  But it was so damn hot, I couldn't stop drinking my water.  And that relish plate of pickled olives and radishes... can we hold the salt?  More stinky water... Anyways, my wife order the hummus with lamb on top; which I have to admit was fairly decent.  Lamb was tasty as was the hummus.  I ordered the kofta kabob.  As another review stated, it was a bit dry... more stinky water... and there was not much to the flavoring of the meat.  On top of this, the food did take a while to come out from the kitchen, considering that only one other table was eating. All in all, the place just didn't stack up, even taking away the weird tasting water and soda.  My wife and I have had Middle-Eastern/Mediterranean food many times before, and this place just did not compare.  So, I'm giving this place two stars (too bad I can't do 1.5 stars) for the somewhat friendly service staff and fairly affordable prices.**Review is for the restaurant only.  We did not try the hookah.**

No thank you!In my continuous desire to support the little guy and my love of food from around the world I stopped in here for lunch. Big mistake!I started off with the hummus which wasn't bad. I didn't like anything at all on the side plate. Then came the beef shwarma sandwich which is the middle east's answer to the carne asada taco: http://www.yelp.com/bi... Holy crap that thing was salty, just like the crap that was on the hummus' side dish (olives, chili, and I think she said radishes...blech!) The sandwich was both salty and bland. I will definitely not be back here to dine. I like the shawarma from the Cedar Bakery in Anaheim. The gal working was pretty nice.Didn't go in for hookah because that's no longer my thing, so I can't really comment on that.

In pretty much every single one of my reviews so far, I've gone on and on about the memories I have of certain places and how even though they're not "top quality", they're still solid establishments and I recommend them fully and all of that stupid stuff. Not this place.Yeah yeah, I've come here plenty of times with friends and killed hours smoking hookah and munching on french fries and whatever, but every time I step through the door I think the same thought."Aw damnit, why am I here?"The entire staff seems to be generally apathetic about their jobs and gain what seems to be some sort of happiness (I'm talking like a half smirk) when you just walk in and pay for something, anything.  Asking them for anything (some more coal for your hookah, for example) ends up either hopeless or turns into an unpleasant ordeal that ends with you waiting forever for one small favor.Lots of young people there at night, so the place is loud.  The seating I'm most familiar with is outside on a concrete area, some chairs and tables on higher areas near the side.  Watch your step because meeting the ground with your face is definitely a possibility. The food's whatever.  Hookah's whatever (tons of the hoses are in poor shape).  This place is just...whatever.

This is a great  restaurant that serves up a lot of great Middle Eastern/Medittereanean dishes. I really like the outdoor patio here! Someone previously  wrote a review on this place mentioning how hot this place was when they sat out on the patio---I guess they just came on the wrong day. (A hot one I suppose!) I would totally recommend this place if you are looking for a nice place to enjoy a lovely casual meal while appreciating the nice cool California breeze during the nighttime and also enjoyin some of that delicious mint tea they serve here! This place serves up a very casual, fun kick back type of mood. The hookah smoke here also adds a nice fruity aroma in the air too. =)The average price for a meal here is anywhere from $5 to $10. Very affordable!Another plus for this place is that they open late! I'm not exactly sure how late but I've driven past here as late as 1am and they were still open.

The usual hookah place for my friends and I. Most of the staff is really cool and nice. Wide selection of flavors, although they don't have the Weezy mix anymore, so I stick with Melon. Service here can be a hit or miss. They can be really on it, but on off nights, it's lacking. The atmosphere here is great as you can feel comfortable and stay here for at least 3 hours like I do. I love the Arabian music that they play, which definitely sets the mood. The food is pretty decent as well. I usually get a beef shawarma, fries and a lime jarritos. Weird combo isn't it? Also, there's this one girl that works there who is pretty cute. If you want a change from the bro atmosphere from the other hookah places, come here.

Allah hu ackbar!  So, they're open late.  Do you know what that means?  Freedom!!!  Freedom to gain 25 pounds overnight, just like that.  This place is so iconoclastically 80s...yes this place looks like the real 80s...where nothing matched...everything was part pthalates...and evil for you.  Know what I mean coffee bean?Sidebar, they have the most laxed attitude about service, here, but its in that we're of service, not at your service kinda way.  I won't complain.  I love crap shacks like this. So damn ferhce, I didn't feel the need to purge afterwards.  Take it from me, a self-professed…

Hmmm... the last visit was "different."The hollywood flavor of hookah was too harsh on everyone... the white peach was decent...Be prepared to buy drinks you don't want to drink just to meet the minimum pricing for a certain number of people. For 8, they wanted us to spend at least 40 bucks. The bathroom is dank and dirty, but what do you expect...One of the hookahs we had that night, someone had smoked up a piece of foil instead...Bring your own cards, cause they don't offere them to customers anymore... It's a good time to play a game of mafia! woooo...Parking sucks on weekends, found ourselves having to look around for some...Still, despite ALL of this, I don't know where else to turn to in this town. Great price, large selection of flavors... I usually like apple mint or blue mist... both are safe…

This place is a bit off the beaten path, at least 15-20 minutes down brookhurst well into garden grove. I may be a bit biased because i come here with my friends often, but it isnt too bad. most poeple just order fries and smoke hookah(plenty of flavors) the chicken shawerma was not too bad. The service is mediocre at best, but this is overall a really chill place to hang out  with friends
