I used to work within the station complex and ate here all the time.  I understand that management of the cafe has changed at least once, but many of the changes have been for the better (such as tapping into the night crowd by adding live shows and hookah).  I was always partial to their tuna and turkey melts, and their large breakfast platters.  Beer and wine, though a limited selection, is a plus.  The ladies who worked here (as of a couple years ago) were always incredibly friendly and patient, even with impatient customers running to catch their trains.Railfans and people-watchers take note: The vantage point from the outdoor tables facing the station platforms are the best part of eating here!

After all these years this little gem is still relatively unknown. During the week this place is your typical train station cafe with every amenity a weary traveler seeks. But during the weekend evening hours this little cafe has bands play live on the patio as trains plow by. Now your not going to catch the Stones here or anything, but every now and then you may discover a winner. The bands that play here vary but are predominantly some strain of punk rock. The audience is predominantly made up of bored teens, confused travelers, dungeons and dragons booger eaters, dudes with wooden swords, and local wannabe hipsters who pretend to like Hope Sandoval. I like coming here every now and then because the beer is cheap and they have junk food; its like catching a show at your local 7-11 with trains. Overall, this is a nice place to visit or perhaps even start the evening with but I don't think I want to make a habit out of hanging out with teenagers. Besides, my parole conditions won't allow for it.
