This place is near the Catch the Vision dance studio my kids go to...the chicken and beef schwarana is outstanding.  The flavor of the meat and the salads that come with the meal do well on your taste buds.  The pita bread is a bit thin and stiff, but the pickled parsnips will rock your flavor sensors.  I have only been there for a late lunch and the place is empty...the staff is more than helpful and accomodating.  Can't wait to go back.  In the same mini mall is a Starbucks, chinese place and other food place, haha can't remember the third one, so I always order my favorite Starbucks drink and enjoy it with my schrawaran.

I don't know Mediterranean food the way I know Mexican food or pizza.  BUT I do know that Younan has GREAT tasting food.  I get the chicken shawarma sandwich with hummus.  Hands down, the best hummus I've ever had.  The chicken sandwich is really good too.  I discovered this place because they participated in Whittier College's cultural festival.  There were several independent restaurants that participated but this one stood out the most  due to it's great smelling food.  I also liked that they partook in such an event.  The restaurant itself is hidden in some random shopping center.  I even accidentally walked into the chinese food place.  Today will be my second time going this week.  It's that good.  Trust.

New fave place!  I love Mediteranean food and this place does it right!  I ordered the vegetarian plate and bf ordered the gyro... both were delicious!  The gyro had the perfect crispness and flavor.  Everything on the veggie plate was really good.  I'm so happy that there's good food like this near me for a easy, delicious and healthy meal.  And, it's affordable too!

Hidden in the corner of the giant Albertsons food court, this place stands out when it comes to the food. The hummus is perfect, and the naan-ish flat bread seems to have a cinnamon kick to it. Everything is flavourful and awesome. The prices always seem to high to me...but then I can rarely finish my plate, so they certainly pile it on!In all honesty...I don't know much about Mediterranean food. But this place seems family run, real authentic, and just plain charming. Aside from the food they sell a few treats and knick-knacks. Including hookahs in the corner!
