Ok, so i'm being told by my friend that this isn't strictly Turkish food, she said it's Lebanese. It's middle eastern, that's all I can tell. The guy I talked to is from izmir in Turkey, and I think the cashier said that one of the cooks is Armenian. Those countries' foods are somewhat similar, but never say that to their face... My ignorant mouth and I have gotten in trouble before. S-:I forgot to mention the negatives in the last post. The food is "normal" in proportion. My widening American waistline was still hungry, despite the fact that the amount of food they give you is completely adequate to nourish a human being.I need to fix that. Dumb American restaurants and their fattening, value adding portions!Oh, also don't let the name fool you, they're not "quick". Maybe they're still getting the hang of things, but it takes a while to get your food, so plan for that. They haven't had their "grand opening" yet. Still good for not being a real sit-down restaurant. I had the chicken shwarma "sandwich" (more like a wrap)and the beef schwarma plate (told you - small portions, widening Nick). Both were flavorful, none were spicy. Yummy is good.I'll have to find out which ones are spicy.. maybe I could just ask.. I have seen this place for 2 weeks, waiting for it to open. Disclaimer: I LOVE TURKISH FOOD.There,…

Why did I have the urge to say "Mmm Toasty" every five minute that we were sitting there? No I was not on my cougar prowl in good old garden grove. Sure my gfs are quite hot but it must have been the newly converted Quick Kebab's sign that was once Quizno's. I liked that they were resourceful. HOT! An economical and green business is a-OK in my book. Their hookah isn't too bad, about $15 for one, their hummus and pita bread was good and cheap. The pita was soft and fresh. They don't make their own pita bread but they will warm them up for you. SCORE! I'll prolly come back for the Hummus as well as trying other items. Look toasty!

Sorry, this won't be a long review!I was there last night, and all the food tasted great.  I don't know about prices, but the service was fast and friendly.  Heated pita bread with garlic sauce was such a nice suprise!I saw a hookah, but we didn't stick around for any of that.

I'm not sure if my taste buds are happier at the end of the week, but my brother picked some up for me for lunch on Monday. Not as good as the first time. I tried some other stuff and the meat was still juicy but just lacked flavor. Weird but still probably one of the better ones in OC but I'm hoping that my brother just didn't know how to order... I know it looks closed from the outside but it's OPEN and it's well worth the awkward building…

I saw this place on my way up to Garden Grove.. you can tell it used to be a Quiznos by the wallpaper with the bread and salami on it..hahaAnyways, I don't know about them being so quick, but they do have good kebabs and shawarma.  I had the filet mignon shish kebab..it was only one stick but it tasted great and they added rice and salad to it too to make a meal

My friend has been raving about this place since it opened a few weeks back. So, I finally took the plunge and went with him for lunch. For starters, the parking lot is quite small as other reviews have pointed out. Parking will be a problem during the lunch hour. Quick Kebab took over an old Quiznos location. The funny thing is, almost all the remnants of Quiznos are still there. The Quiznos mmmm...Toasty sign, the wallpaper, etc. The tables are nice and they can accomodate about 20-25 people inside and another few outside. Te place is very clean and well kept. The staff is very friendly  and brings your food to you if you are eating there. Now to the food. The pricing is reasonable. Sandwiches (actually they are Gyro style in fresh, warm pita with onions, tomotoes, shredded lettuce and yogurt) are priced at $4.95 each except for the Filet Mignon which is a dollar more at $5.95. This does not include a drink. Fountain drinks are $1.95 and they offer Pepsi products. The plates (entrees) are the specialty. They are $8-$10 and include rice, a small salad, pita slices, and a side of yogurt. Then there is the big daddy of the plates called the Governor Kebab Plate. It includes 3 types of meat and some vegetarian sides along with a small salad, hummus, 3 types of yogurt, and fresh pita slices. At $11.95, this is the most expensive item on the menu and probably the best. The meat is very good quality. The Filet Mignon is between medium rare and medium. Very juicy and very tasty. The chicken was also cooked perfectly. They have many different yogurts that you can try. The cucumber yogurt seems to be a favorite there. The portions of all items, excluding the Governor Kebab Plate, are good for normal people. However, most Americans that dine on fast food will think that the portions may be a bit small. But, really, it's enough. They also offer soups, salads, and desserts as well as some appetizers like hummus. I give this place an A-. It's a great place to have lunch and will be even better once they are fully open. (They are still converting the place and are waiting on a chicken rotisserie machine). The food is great and the employees are nice. The only thing holding it at an A- is that I would have liked to have seen about 25% more meat on the sandwiches. However I can't really complain as the price and quality is superb!

The falafel is the moistest I've ever had. Dunno if it's extra time in the deep fryer? Doesn't matter. It's good and keeps me craving it when I think about coming back. Pricier than falafel I've had back in Chicago but that must be why it's so moist. Falafel platter is more than enough for one, with several triangles of pita and I think five or six falafel pieces.* Had the chicken shawerma wrap. Wasn't terribly special, but not too bad. One wrap is big enough for two I'd say.* Hummus is good with a nice generous drizzle of olive oil on top which I love. Yum.* Table next to me had grilled chicken kebab platters. Looked amazing, char grilled marks and everything. I'll have to try that next time.* Been here a couple times for lunch--never crowded and the staff is always friendly. Thumbs up!

A pretty decent place for Turkish food. I kinda wish they had better vegetarian options. The vegetarian plate was mostly a variety of hummus, salad, and tabouleh. Probably should have had one kind of hummus, salad, kisir (a much better take on bulgur than tabouleh), and mercimek kofte(lentil balls). A plus was this really great garlic dip that was served with pita bread while we waited for the meal. The lentil soup was also excellent, and a generous serving (that could probably be shared. Other perks, friendly staff/owner, fast service. The not so good, the obvious Quiznos remnants that are still up. I'd probably take down those "uhmm...tasty" signs and all the deli posters. Oh, and one more thing, I really think they need to get rid of the Quiznos soda fountain, and offer Turkish sodas instead or additionally.  3.5

I came across this place driving down Beach Blvd and had a taste for some Mediterranean food.  When you first walk in, you'll have a flashback of Quizno's (previous signs and decorations are still up). No biggie.  Once you get over that, the food is Excellent!  We usually order the chicken kebab plate with their special garlic butter w/ some pita.  Yummy!!!  Not sure if the owner is Lebanese or Armenian.  The menu is a bit limiting and is also kinda pricey $$$.  Other than that, great place for lunch and/or dinner.  Be prepared to spend $10-$15 for full meal with a drink.

OK, I was WRONG - IT IS A HOOKAH BAR AT NIGHT!I asked the owner when I came in to eat tonight...Hookah Bar Hours: M-F 9PM-12AMSat, Sun, 9PM-4AM!PS - Tried the chicken kebab sandwich and it was BOMB.  The sandwiches are basically wraps... pita bread, tomato, onion, meat.  So good. Any place that displays a hookah next to where you order is 4 star worthy in my book.  But, in this…
