Instead of dragging my vegan friend to another restaurant with limited choices, I decided to take her where carnivores were the minority. We ordered Pad See Ew(with peppercorn steak), Eggplant and Orange Chicken.Everything was pretty good(well eggplant was so-so but I just dont like them to begin with). I love how the texture is similar to what the meat is. Just by looking at it, the orange chicken was hard to tell it wasnt made with chicken.-Even the brown rice was good. It was slighty crispy/crunchy but good.-The coconut ice cream was dee-li-cious!The portions are smaller than what i'm used to but its definitely filling.I wouldnt come here by myself(Sorry, I prefer real meat) but I definitely wouldnt mind suggesting this place if I were eating with someone thats vegan.

Absolutely love this place. The service is incredibly friendly and always happy to serve you. The food is amazing...and not just for a vegan restaurant. It's amazing for any restaurant. I've eaten here at least a dozen times, I have had food delivered to me more than a dozen times, and the service/food is consistently great. I would recommend this place to everyone looking for some delicious, healthy food!

I am a big fan of the lunch special, especially during times like these. My friend and I arrived for lunch today, sat in the outdoor area, and thoroughly enjoyed our meals! I ordered the red curry and soy chicken lunch special which came with a cup of brown rice, a small spring roll, and a side salad. The service was fast and friendly - my server even complemented me on my shirt! Gotta love that.My lunch was $7.95 which is great for notoriously overpriced vegan restaurants. I'll definitely be back next time I'm looking for a casual afternoon meal.

Lotus Vegan is located on a dark section of a main thoroughfare, so I was easily able to find street parking right out front. I got there just before a steady flow of customers started coming in for dinner. I love thai food, especially because most thai restaurants offer the option of replacing meat with tofu in the majority of their dishes, but I had been unable to find a vegan version of chicken larb until now! They did a great job of using crumbled (and baked?) tofu rather than fried tofu cubes to create the dish. It tasted very authentic and I will definitely be coming back the next time I need a larb fix.Pros: Excellent thai dishes, friendly staff, very clean, indoor and outdoor seating available.Cons: located on a dark street, small indoor seating area.

I have officially fallen for the lotus vegan!in the last three/four weeks, i have been there four times. the hosts are so sweet, and the food is delicious! orange chicken, pad thai, fried rice - everything i've ordered there has been wonderful and filling! drinks are good, too. i've tried the kombuchi tea (the grape one), thai iced tea, and the coconut milk. do yourself a favor and check it out! i was in the mood for food, and i was sick of all the jack in the box i've been eating lately (don't…

4.5 stars to be exact! ('',)- very courteous and FRIENDLY service- affordable prices (esp. for a vegan restaurant)- extensive vegan menu + you can also shop while you wait for your food! (small section for clothes, earrings, purses, sandals, etc---all imported from THAILAND---yayyyers!)- $7.95 lunch special and $9.95 dinner special* pad thai: a bit sweet, BUT good and NOT dry like how most restaurants make it.* panang: delish! perfectly flavored---tastes just like the way my mama makes it, but more soupy.* chicken satay: soy chicken is still not my cup of tea, BUT they make it good here. * yellow curry: perfectly flavored, but I do prefer the panang better.GREAT for what it is: HEALTHY affordable eating + it's in my hood! whoo hooooo! Lotus Vegan, we shall be back....soon! ('',)

Bring your favorite Republican-Meat Eating-George Bush Loving-Never Tried Vegetarian Food H-E-R-EThe key to loving good veg/vegan food is understanding that it's not supposed to taste like meat. It's supposed to taste so fri**in good.I wish this place was around when I was in my 4 year vegetarian stint in high-school.Family owned and run, family recipes. And almost total organic ingredients. Lets talk about organic ingredients for a second. Many places now claim to use o.g. ingredients anywhere from "when possible" to "100%" Well, I, frankly, am dubious. Not here though. Through many visits and inquisitions of the waitresses/managers/daughters (2 sisters) I am confident and have verified they REALLY use o.g. ingredients. And refuse to have white rice. it's bad for you. Oh, and everything is tasty+pure health, maybe save, the few deep fried offerings. Lightly fried in pure olive oil no less.First off I am a huge meat eater. But my wife said this place was delicious so I gave it a try. I had the pepper steak wrap which was delicious, despite it lacking the avocado the menu said it had. There was only one slice in one of the 2 halves of the wrap on the plate. But other, than that it was very good. The thai ice tea was very very good, one of the best I've had. The veggie shrimp are also very delicious, as I stole one from my wifes plate. One of our friends got the Orange chicken which tasted a bit like a deep fried donut hole, but was very good. The staff was friendly, and attentive. I definitely recommend this place even if you aren't a vegan/vegitarian and just looking for a healthy filling meal in NoHo.Elle is the waitress there and she's great if you have any questions. I'm a healthy eater but this restaurant makes me want to be vegan. :) great prices and portions that fill you up.MENU: I'm a fan of the chicken burger ($4.95?) plus a side of bbq sauce and all their lunch specials. It's worth every penny ($7.95 for lunch that includes miso or salad and a spring roll haha!) i love the homemade peanut sauce!!!DESSERTS: The desserts are great from the aunt or "no udder desserts". My favorites are the chocolate cake, banana chocolate, carrot, and the COCONUT ICE CREAM! *Oh and the soup is the shit! Veggie or tofu please!Well, the food was great but I'm pretty sure someone working there stole my visa debit card info and tried to wipe out my bank account on Thanksgiving day. Bank and police are investigating. Anyway, might go back one day, it was yummy, but will pay with cash.4.5 stars to be exact! Everytime I drive down Vineland in the evening, the tables outside of Lotus Vegan are occupied. It got me wondering whether or not NoHo is full of vegans, or if carnivores are frequenting this establishment. The answer from fellow Yelpers is that carnivores are flocking here, and after eating there last night, I can see why! The vegetables are so fresh and the food is really good. I'll be back, and maybe even brave enough to try "soy chicken."
