Just returned and it was waffle-tastic, as expected.  Order: Popeye omelette with a waffle (and shared a side of home fries - seriously the tastiest home fries I've ever had).  Good grief, I'm drooling just writing that.  I need to drive back to Encino right now! It's impossible not to love this place.  The waffles are superb, the omelets are perfect, and the…

This place is sooo good for a hearty breakfast. Try the Mediterranean omelet or the hash and eggs. They also have Healthy choices for the health conscience people out there. The environment is very homey and comfortable. Definitely an Encino gem to try out. I believe every Sunday they have live music in the outside seating area.  HIGHLY recommended

A friend of mine, who was visiting town asked me to meet her in this place because it used to be her favorite place to have breakfast, when she lived in Encino. I have to admit, I can see why. I tried an omelet, don't remember what kind, but it was delicious. I also tried the waffles and yumi! I would highly recommend this place if you want to enjoy a tasty breakfast or even lunch, I assume. Tasty, tasty, tasty!

Rare trip out to the Valley for brunch!!Creature of habit that I am, I got the corned beef hash- AGAIN, which is served with half a belgian waffle (half a waffle is better than none!!). The plate also comes with eggs, two strips of lovely-ass bacon, and breakfast potatoes. However, unlike on our first visit, the potatoes were perfectly savory; delicious!! These may be the best breakfast potatoes I've enjoyed in a long, long time.We got a table relatively quickly; everything in the Valley seemed closed that day, but More Than Waffles was definitely NOT wanting for customers. The service was excellent as usual. There were helpers running all over the place in a chaotically organized dance you might see in an ant colony. My wife ordered the eggs florentine with the hollandaise sauce on the side... IMHO hollandaise sauce is the only reason I would order that dish in the first place, but I digress. The poached eggs in her florentine were sitting atop, not spinach, but a spinach souffle type of topping, the taste of which made me wish Bed, Bath Beyond sold the equivalent: a cozy, delicious cover into which I could tuck myself. The souffle DID look a little like something a bird would regurgitate to feed its young, but boy was it good!I especially liked the thick, rich hollandaise sauce, but the kicker for me? Its tanginess. There might be a little too much lemon in there for some, but for me, it was like finding religion. It's a good thing this place is far from the SGV... WAFFLES!!!!Thanks you, Yelp, for helping me find this little hidden gem of a place. FYI, It's NOT…

Another exciting weekend of eating!i love it, iloveit, iloveit!!!!!!Well, since they have more than you-know-whats, I partook (partaked?)Agreed with some of the other reviewers, you would never find this place if you didn't yelp it.  They had some live music playing on Saturday morn.I had the summer salad which included spinich, strawberries, goat cheese, pecans, grilled chicken (a lot btw) and homemade balsamic vinegrette. Superb, delish, belisimo.  "A" had some egg dish with a side of the fluffiest belgian waffle I have ever tasted and some home potatoes that were sooo good.Wait staff was very nice and helpful and happy.  Simple nice breakfast spot.Three stars, just deal yelpers!

WAFFLES!!!!Thanks you, Yelp, for helping me find this little hidden gem of a place. FYI, It's NOT… This place is a great place to go for some brunch. One can choose to sit outside and enjoy the California sun, or sit indoors and feel like being in grandma's kitchen.I highly recommend splitting half portions since there's too much good stuff that you just have to try! The crepes are out of this world, and so are the waffles. I highly recommend the ultimate waffles and the ika crepes. Yum! Will definitely come back again. Also, the service was excellent!Oh Snaps! I think this is the first 5 stars I'm giving out. I hit this spot up yesterday w/my homeboy and we could not stop talking about it the whole day. That's how good it was. Trying to find where exactly it was at was a bit tricky but then we realized you have to go inside the shopping plaza, down the stairs. I ordered a vegi omelet which came with a waffle. I asked for peaches whipped cream on it and a coffee. Can someone please tell me what kind of coffee that was because even the coffee was yummy. I must have had about 4 cups of that stuff. Diners, donut shops, starbucks: Y'all can't even step to the coffee this joint is serving up. The vegi omelet was great, I asked for a side of salsa with it. She brought out what she called the "latino" salsa and then some other homie brought 2 more salsas for me. A green one and red one which were good too! Oh and the vegis in that omelet were perfect. Not overcooked, not too greasy. Of course I saved the best for last. HOT DAMN! Can a waffle get any better? Fluffy, sweet peaches, whipped cream syrup over everythang! I saw some chick eyeing my waffle and I was thinking: You wish you had it like me... pfft. The wait was about 30min, but it was Sunday morning. The staff was friendly and didn't give you that frustrated look you can get from a jam packed breakfast joint. I give it: 5 stars. Your Homegirl, Violy P.S. Thanks to this place, when I grow up, I'm gonna be one of those ladies who'll make their kids put on their sunday's best, go to church (they'll probably be bored as hell) and then cop breakfast right here.Great Staff- they handle the insane weekend mornings well.Phenomenal items: Veggie Beni, Love Waffle, Nutella CrepesThe food is what keeps you coming back. What keeps me from going more often:Long wait for a table, if you agree to first available, the make up wierd spots in the middle of the room to seat you and you can't have an audible conversation. They really stuff people into this place. They really get you on the extras- I'm Vermont born and started sneaking in my own real maple-syrup to avoid the charge. I do, however offer up my first born child for the side of avocado. For the atmosphere, and old country style run-downedness of the place their prices are outrageous. The price for a basic breakfast doesn't correlate with the old diner atmosphere. For these prices you should have more attention from the staff, pristine silverware, unchipped coffee cups,  a reasonable amount of personal space and outside seating that isn't made from  dirty deteriorating plastic.

I have to say, More than Waffles is a damn good breakfast. The four of us went this morning around 11:30 and had more than a half hour wait - but that's to be expected on a Sunday morning.  The wait wasn't too bad because it was gorgeous weather outside and there was a guy playing music and a fountain/pool thing with pretty landscaping right outside the restaurant.  AND they have a sign out there that states that children are not to be unattended.  Which is fabulous.  Not that I don't like children, but I strongly dislike when parents just let them roam free while they eat, virtually ignoring them for a couple hours.Anyways, once we were seated inside, we waited for a bit (service was going to be slower just because it was slammed inside), and decided what we wanted to order so when the server came, bam, we'd be ready to order.  One guy got a turkey sandwich, one got a waffle, I got eggs and bacon, and another girl got eggs and pancakes.  It was a reasonable amount of time that the food came out in - actually a little bit quicker than I was expecting.  My eggs were cooked perfectly.  Over medium delicousness that were perfect with some tobasco and salt and pepper.  The bacon was thick cut and crisp.  The potatoes were soft, crispy, and generously seasoned, while the rye toast was a marble rye (I wish I had known it was a marble before I ordered).  But they serve the pancakes and waffles with a fabulous homemade strawberry jam that I snagged for my toast.I am a picky breakfast eater, and I am now in pain because I ate too much.  It was that good, and this stomachache was worth it.

OMG! This place is sooooo great!!I really have a thing for crepes.  BF and I decided to go here to try the crepes. We ordered: Ika crepes (something like that(, pecan pumpkin waffles, nutella strawberry crepes.  Everything was sooooo good.  The crepes were huge (they give 2 stuffed crepes) and came with fried potatoes (yum).  They were just soooo good, I can't forget about them!  The waffles and stawberry nutella crepes were great too.Besides being very yummy the ambiance was very fun.  We went around 12:30 in the afternoon.  There was a live musician.  The place was also pretty packed inside and outside.  And you can bring ur doggy if you sit outside :-)  If you want some yummy breakfast come and try this place!!
