My friend brought me here ages and ages ago, but I never forgot. This was sooo my style. Funky, eclectic and very "homey" with the best goddamn hot chocolate in town! I can't wait to come back.

It is a small but welcoming space. It friendly and inviting. Just from the colorful paint on the outside one can feel there is something different going on inside. The staff is always friendly and the a place that deserves more word of mouth.Parking is the only factor as it has mostly street parking.

Thank goodness for the few, the proud, and the independent coffee shops. In my opinion, the coolest hang out in the valley for an all ages social group setting, a must visit. A special thanks to Daniel, "I appreciate you giving my band, JohnnyGottaLighter, a chance to play at your fantastic establishment."

Buffalo Bruce's.....there's nowhere else like it! I've been coming here for the last three or so years. Very eclectic place, awesome drinks and kick-ass chorizo burritos. The staff, as well as Vivian and Bruce, the owners, are great and have become good friends of mine. I have also become good friends with many of the regulars there as well. The atmosphere is very unique and home-like, the karaoke is a blast, and I don't even really like karaoke, so that's saying something. The only downside to this place is, as mentioned before, the parking. I know there's not a lot they can do about it given the geometry of the property, and I've always been able to find a spot on the street, so I don't really have a problem with it, but I could see how it might be annoying to some.Anyway, check this place out!

Love Love Love Buffalo Bruce's! The best hot chocolate/Mocha's ever! The owner, Vivian is very sweet! The only drawback here is the parking as mentioned in the other review. But you my get lucky and find street parking right in front. Definitely worth your trip!

Just went here for lunch and I'm a happy camper!! Had some ribs with potato salad, coleslaw, and a big ol' cup of iced tea!! All for about $10!!Had some hookah to go with lunch as well for an extra $10.The ribs were tender and the sauce... I don't know where to start. It was delicious. The bbq Tuesdays and Thursdays, so today was a "leftover" day but it was still scrumptious! I can't wait to see what its like fresh! If you are on your lunch break, its wise to call in your order 10-15 prior. Its all homemade so its slow service, but totally worth it!

If this place was in Culver City or Hollywood or Santa Monica, I would be rolling my eyes more than Stevie Wonder. BUT because Buffalo Bruce's is in Sylmar, I've got to support it and all of its pop-art pretense.I mean, you cannot even buy a book in Sylmar, except for a paper-back at the grocery store. This is the only semblance of culture and artistic endeavor in a city of 60,000. But be forewarned, you are likely going to hear some people bear their souls to an open mic . . . and you will probably want to pee your pants laughing. If you are lucky enough to avoid poetry-related-incontinence, you may be exposed to some janky freestylin'. But that's the cost of doing business. Add that on to the ever-rising price of a cup of coffee.Bruce's is currently doing "smoked bbq" on Thursdays. The baby backs were great and it came with a very nice potato salad. But this place isn't really a restaurant; heck it's barely a coffee shop. The order took forever. And the staff had a hard time finding napkins and utensils, as if the matter had never come up before. But, to be fair, I am known to complain. Sylmar needs Buffalo Bruce's and I hope they stick around for a long time.

I stopped in here once on my way to school for a nice blended coffee drink and I was less than impressed.Still, this is a cute little shop with lots of stuff to look at and some decent entertainment.

This is definitely the valley's hidden gem! They have a great mocha recipe. The owner is really friendly and she has decked out this hole in the wall with eclectic decorations. It's very fitting for an offbeat coffee shop. Other positive attractions include: the gifts she also sells, the nice patio space in the back, and the free wi-fi. The two cons that prevent me from assigning it the full 5 stars: the parking sucks and sometimes the store is closed during business hours with that "sorry we missed you" sign telling me when they will return. . There are three spaces in the lot. Other than that, you can get street parking and I think she said the Jack in the Box was cool with customers parking there... (I don't remember where the Jack in the Box is). Please visit this place a lot so they can hire more people and be open more consistently!!! Please!
